After my little crying spell with Dustin, or my dad I guess, Sierra, Dustin and the two other unknown adults walked upstairs to talk, I'm guessing about me. Now I was alone with Isaac and Aubrey.
The fact that now I was prisinor in someones basement scarred me, especially because when I misbehaved infornt of the pack my old "Fake Father" would take me to the basement and beat me. He said it was the only place where no one would question it and that it was good for me. Now I see how Dustin and Sierra treat their kids, with so much love and pride towards them, thoughts keep running though my mind about how much I want to stay here, with my real family.
My real family.
That sounded so weird, that Marcus wasn't really my father, but at the same time it sounded right to say Dustin and Sierra were my parents. I mean I have Sierra's eyes and Dustin's hair and as far as nose and such goes I look just like Isaac and Aubrey, just with straight hair and paler skin.
"So, tell me about what it was like with the mutts?" Isaac asked me.
"Mutts? I hope you realize that they were my friends and family. They might not have done a very good job, but they were the ones who raised me all my life." I snapped. How dare he call my pack mutts!
"Cass, he didn't mean it like that ... thats just kind of what we've always called you an-" Aubrey said shyly. She seemed like a sweet girl.
"And we would have raised you if it wasn't for them! They stole you from us! And we could have raised you better, don't they like beat their people when they do something wrong?" Isaac interupted.
"How would you know that? And it isn't exactly like it was my choice they raised me!"
"They did, didn't they?!" Isaac said jumping up and walking to me, he lifted my shirt up over my stomache and examined the large purple bruise that covered my lower left ribs down to my waist. That one was from getting punched repeatidly when I embarrassed my father in front of the pack. I mean Marcus. "If they didn't beat you, how exactly do you explain that?!" Isaac said, getting frustrated. He sighs, "Look I didn't mean to scare you Cas, I'm just worried about you and it burns me up that someone even touched my little sister. "
I look down, "Thanks, and ya, thats from him beating me. He said I embarrassed him and needed to be punished ... It should be gone soon though." I mumble but stop when I hear a low angry growl behind me. It's him.
And how do I know?
Because even his growl is sexy.
I jump around and stare at him, he look perfect. The definition of sexy. He has tan skin and strawberry blonde curly hair that looks a lot like Isaac's but with a red-ish tent. He looks a few years older than me, making him anywhere from sixteen to eighteen, if my guess is right. His bare chest looks amazing with a six pack and his gym shorts hang dangerously low, giving me shivers.
"Who the hell did that to you!?" He snaps at me. I cring back, he might be kind of scarry right now, but he's still definately sexy too. I look down and tug at my shirt until it recovers my bruise. "M-my father." I stutter, nervously.
"Alpha Dustin did that to you?! That fucking bastard!" He yells and punches the closest wall. I cring back and a small whimper escapes me.
"Sam I swear, if you don't stop talking like that I'll tell Aunt Ava! And be nice you're scaring the life out of poor Cas!" Aubrey yells, jumping up and stomping over to him, she only comes up to about his chest so she stands on her tip-toes to get in his face as much as possible. He, Sam, Looks over at me shocked, then at Aubrey and back at me. He runs over and sits down on his knees next to me, taking my hand in his.
"Princess, I'm sorry if I scared you, I just don't want anyone to touch my mate. I'll kill the sick bastard, I don't care if he is the Alpha!" Sam says calmly, looking into my eyes with pure concern. Isaac and Aubrey growl but I just lean down and kiss his cheek, little electric shocks running through me, coming from everywhere we touch and spreading.
"It wasn't Alpha Dustin, it was Marcus." I mumble into his hair while I hug him. He pulls back and looks at me. "Is that... the rogue alpha?" He asks shyly.
I look down, only for him to pull my face up to meet his gaze. "Yeah..." I mumble, then remeber something he said.
"Sam, what did you mean when you called me your mate? What's that?"
