Cassie's Point of View

I stood watching her walk into the woods from the edge of the cliff. Ten minutes later, still no Alexa, so I decided to look over everything from the cliff.

It was beautiful. The sun was starting to set and I could see for miles from up here, and I think I could even make out my old pack in the distance.

I miss my pack, I miss having an actual home. I hope mom and dad are okay, and Isaac. Suddenly I heard loud paws thudding against the ground behind me and turned to face them, smiling.

There wasn't anything there though, just the forest.

"Alexa? Are you there?" I said quietly, knowing her she was playing a joke on me. I heard a noise that sounded like a purr come from the woods directly in front of me and I noticed two eyes watching me closely. I took a few steps towards them, "Alexa?" I whispered.

Suddenly, the two eyes moved forward, closer to me although I still couldn't make out what they belonged to. But I knew they were Alexa's, they were that bright blue color of only her and her sister's eyes.

"Alexa, get your ass out here! You nearly gave me a heart attack!" I yelled, then suddenly a large red-ish colored, fuzzy Lynx with Alexa's eyes jumped out at me and pinned me down on my back.

My heart was hammering and my breath was caught in my throat. What the hell was going on? We don't have Lynxes out here!

Suddenly the Lynx, or Alexa maybe, got off me and pawed at my arm, purring slightly. I sat up, slowly and pushed myself backwards until I was close to the edge of the cliff.

"Alexa?" The lynx responded by making a kind of meow like noise, one that a would come from a Lynx, then turned and went back into the woods. Around twenty minutes later, Alexa came back, this time human again.

I watched her and slowly got up. She smiled at me and reached out, helping me up.

"Alexa, what the hell was that?" I asked, a little too calm for circumstances.

She giggled a little bit, "That was my Lynx. I'm not a wolf, Cas. I'm a werecat, a Lynx to be specific."

I looked at her in shock for a second, "Is Alexis a Lynx too?"

"She might be, but really she could be any kind of big cat. Although since we're twins, she's probab;y a Lynx too." Alexa answered me.

"How many of you are there?" I asked, wondering how this was kept hiden from me for so long.

"Here, about 40% of the rebel pack is werecat, rather than werewolf. The cat's don't typically live in packs, and if they do they live up north, so werewolves don't really know about us that much. Other than the rogues, who started attacking the werecats, inslaving them, killing them off, and stealing their kittens like they did to the wolves." She told me.

"This is a lot to take in..." I trailed off.

"I know, but Cassie, you can do it. You can lead us still, all of us love you. Some just aren't used to being around others since they've been on their own so long."

"Is your mate like you?" I asked, curious as to weather he was a wolf or a cat.

"Yes, so is his pack. They were the last werecat left that hadn't been attacked." She looked down. This must be hard on her.

I pulled her into a hug, "Look Alexa, Everything is going to be fine. I won't let them get away with this."

She pulled away to look at me, "I know Cassie, that's why we wanted you to be our leader. This is your destiny."

I smiled back and i realized it was starting to get dark outside, "We should probably go in, wouldn't want to get sick."

We started inside and through the multiple corridors and stairwells until we eventually made it back to the main room of the compound.

Annabell's Point of View

"Daddy?" I said as I made it to the door of my father's office. I was wearing a fake smile I had been practicing for the past week, and made sure to make my voice sound happy. This needed to be believable.

"Annabell?" he said as I pushed the door open and walked in.

"I need to talk to you. I've been thinking, and I support this. I want to help." I told him, doing my best to seem serious and not like every word I spoke felt like poison.

"I'm glad to hear that. What made you change your mind?"

"I realized the truth." That part was true, I did see the truth. The truth that all of this was evil.

"We need to start training you,  incase we're attacked. Are you okay with being trained?"

"Of course. I need to learn how to defend myself."
