Annabell's Point of View

One day before the attack, just after meeting with Alexis.

After running into Isaac, we came up with a plan. In two days, just before Cassie and Sam's pack attacks the rogues, Isaac would infiltrate the rogues and create a distraction. Since the rogues have become almost obsessed with him, they wanted him, since he was destined to be one of the strongest alpha's in existence, next to Sam, and they wanted them both dead.

Once Isaac creates the distraction, all the fighters will be busy, and I'll go in and sneak Luna Sierra and Alpha Dustin out, along with as many others as I can manage before the rogues realize what happened.

I was thinking about all of this, remembering where my father kept his cell key and where the silver proofed gloves were as I walked back to the pack.

Out of no where, a hand wrapped around me, covering my mouth to prevent me from screaming as another hand stabbed something sharp into my neck, which I quickly realized was a sedative as my body went numb and my brain stopped comprehending things slowly, although I could still hear and see.

Once the sedative had been fully injected into my neck, the man dropped my to the ground and I hit it with a limp thud, glad I was numb to the pain of the inpact. In front of my on the ground, was an unconcious, or at least I hope he was just inconcious, Isaac and the feet of another man standing in front of me.

"Listen you little bitch, you've ruined everything." The man, whose face I couldn't see, said and kicked my in the side. Again, I was glad my body was numb but I was not looking forward to when it no longer was. I knew this voice, but I couldn't place it, "Now, because of you, we're going to kill all of them! You led us right to them!" He laughed evilly and kicked my again, this time my body shifted over so that I could see his face through now cloudy eyes.

Aaron, my father. He knew I had manipulated him, and he had now manipulated him back. Maybe I was more like him than I realized.

"Goodbye, daughter." He said with a manic smile as he leaned down near my face, grabbing hold of my neck and suddenly I realized what was going on. My breath caught in my throat and tears rushed to my eyes.

I'm sorry. I tried mind-linking it to everyone as hard as I could, using all the energy I had left to send it to everyone I knew. Maybe they wouldn't get it, but maybe some would. And they would know i was sorry I failed them. I was sorry I wasn't able to protect them. I was sorry for being young and dumb and getting myself in a place where I couldn't protect them. But I was still proud I served my Alpha and Luna for so long, maybe that would count for something right?

And like that, Aaron, my father, reached down and snapped my neck.

And I was gone.

Cassie's Point of View

My legs were pushing faster as I ran, urging myself to make it to the clearing. I needed to be there. I needed to protect my pack.

For some reason, I felt responsible for all these deaths, those of the rogues and those of my own pack, and I felt sick about it, but not sick enough not to fight. Sick enough to make me want to fight more.

I hadn't even realized I was fighting until I had ripped the throat of another wolf out and it was hanging from my mouth, blood running down my coat.

I couldn't remember the fight, or even getting to the war, but here I was, with a rogue's throat in my mouth and a dead body beneath me, but it didn't feel wrong. I felt alive, I felt pure even though I knew I was the farthest from it.

I felt wild.

My wolf had taken over almost completely before, but now we were working together. After I had killed the rogue, the other wolves seemed scared of me, even the ones from my own pack.

They didn't know I shifted, and now they find out and I've ripped the throat of another wolf out.

I let out a vicious growl and stalked towards another wolf. This one was bigger than me, much bigger, but I could feel the fear rolling off him in waves. Fear of me, fear of being killed by me.

And his fears were about to come true.

I snarled at the wolf and snapped at him, but he simply showed his teeth to me.and continued to try backing away from me, until he backed into a tree and almost fell over.

I lunged at him and locked my jaw around his throat, biting down until I felt it snap, which only took seconds.

Suddenly, I could feel the power rushing over me. The killer in me coming out, but the luna blood in me staying dominant enough to protect my own weres.

Cassie? Cassie what the fuck are you doing! You just shifted, get your ass back to the base, you aren't safe here! Sam growled at me. He was a few yards away, covered in blood, but it wasn't his blood, luckily. One thing was for sure, he was the largest wolf out here, and you could see the power rolling off him, like I had felt I looked, but maybe stronger. More controled too, possibly.

I growled at him, then I felt a pull, like I was being called somewhere.

Cassie, why don't you come see your brother? Mulitple vicious voices rang in my head, so many I couldn't identify them. He's going to need someone to save him, and no one else will. You're parents might need your help too. They paused and an evil laugh built up in my mind, making me feel like I was being surrounded. Suddenly I broke out into a sprint, following my instincts.

Yes, Cassie. Come save your family.

Hey guys! Sorry about not updating lately, but I feel like this was a good chapter. Maybe not a happy one, or one you'll like, but I feel like it adds to the story a lot. Just to clarify a few things, Annabell and Sam's biological father are both dead. Marcus, Isaac, Aaron, Sam, Alexis, Alexa, Cassie, Dustin, Sierra Audrey, Luke and Herriot are all still alive...

For now.

Okay, bye I love you!
