I wake up Sunday morning to my mother shaking me. I don't know why she thinks this is the most effective way to wake someone up, but that's how she has always done it. I groan and roll over, wanting to stay in bed just a little longer.
"Lea, you need to get up. It's already ten-thirty" My mother insists "I cut up some fruit downstairs for you. Im taking Katie to her piano lesson. What time is Delaney picking you up?"
"Eleven" I yawn and pull the covers off my warm body before stretching
"Okay, I won't be home by then. Have a fun time and do not forget sunscreen!"
I roll my eyes and watch her walk out of my room. I hear the door close moment later and I plug my phone into the dock on my desk, cranking up my music as loud as possible. I dance around my room as I get ready, singing the lyrics to the Katy Perry song as loud as I can. I quickly braid my hair and throw on my light blue bikini. I pull a knit cover up over top and pack my bag, making sure to put the sunscreen on top. Once I'm finished, I unplug my phone and slide it in my bag. I walk downstairs to the kitchen and begin to eat the fruit my mom placed in the fridge, dancing around as I do, until I hear a low chuckle and stop in my tracks, dropping the fruit on the ground. I turn around and see Harry standing in my kitchen, one shoulder leaning against the wall. I gasp and look at him, his curls seem to be a bit more tame today.
"Why the hell are you in my kitchen?" I ask, bending down to pick up the fruit
"I told you I was coming at eleven, and it is now eleven twenty" He states "To be fair, I waited in my car for fifteen minutes"
"Sorry" I mumble, throwing the fruit out "How'd you get in?"
"The door was unlocked. I knocked a few times, but you didn't answer. I saw you dancing around so I just came in"
"I didn't know you were here" I say, grabbing my bag and slipping on my shoes "Ready?"
"Yes" He grins and holds the door open for me, which I lock behind us "I love your dancing by the way"
"Oh God" I groan and walk over to his car.
"Don't worry, it will be our secret"
"If you tell anyone, I will have you arrested fro breaking in to my house"
"Oh no!" He gasps and I smile
He starts the car and gets on to the highway before I begin to talk again.
                              "Do you believe in karma?"
                              "Not this again!"
"Please" I say, sticking my bottom lip out
"No, Lea. I think karma is a big load of bull"
                              "Favourite TV show?"
                              "Criminal minds"
                              "How manly"
                              "It's really good!" He defends
"What immediately attracts you to someone?"
"A magnet" He says and I laugh "A sense of humour"
                              "Favourite game show?"
"Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader"
"Because it challenges you?" I ask sarcastically
"Who knew you could be so cruel?"
"I don't come with a warning" I tease "Cheesiest song you have memorized?"
                              "Barbie Girl"
"Barbie Girl?" I say and break out in laughter
"Hey! Gemma used to play it all the time and after a while I just memorized it!"
