Chapter Two
Walking into the corridor of my new high school was like entering a typical scene from a chick-flick movie.
I turned around to look at my brother, but he had already disappeared.
After taking the books for my first period and assembling, more like shoving the books into my locker, I strolled across the huge field to go to another building.
As I was walking, suddenly a huge football flung out of nowhere and hit my head.
"Ow!" I complained, rubbing my head.
I looked up to see a guy with green eyes and rusty brown hair standing in front of me playing a smirk, standing at a distance.
"Hey babe, can you throw me the ball?"he asked smirking even more.
He had an English accent and an extremely sexy voice.
I was in no state of talking or shouting and with a perfect bitch face, I did the thing anybody else would have done, I walked away.
On reaching my class, I sat down in the corner and put my face in my hands.
"Didn't I tell you to pass the ball?" a familiar sexy voice said.
The guy who hit me with the ball was leaning on my desk smirking.
"Oh, I thought you had legs to walk over and get it yourself because it was you who three it at me!" I snapped rolling my eyes.
"Not a morning person are you?" he said before taking a seat beside me.
Why would it have to be the annoying prick sitting beside me? Why couldn't I be left alone?
"What do you want from me?" I asked.
He was going to reply when the teacher came in and announced, "There is a new student in the class, Lily?"
I raised my hand, because well, that was my name. She called me up for introduction, the worst part of being a transfer student.
" Hi, I am Lily Surana..." I started, "I am from India, and came here because...because..."
I didn't want to say it, people never treated me the same if they knew about my past. I held back my tears and continued.
"Because my aunt lives here and my father has retired, so I didn't want to burden him." I lied and kept silent for a few minutes, composing myself.
"Go on." the teacher prompted.
"I like tennis and love art. Thank you." I smiled and went back to my seat.
The guy who hit me with the football smirked at me and I rolled my eyes at him.
The day was kind of uneventful, but during lunch, I went and sat down on an empty bench. My food didn't look appetizing at all. I wanted to crawl back to my bed and stay there for the rest of my messed up life.
I was staring at my food when a voice in an English accent asked, "Can I sit here?"
I looked up to see a guy with jet black hair and grey eyes smiling adorably at me.
"Ya sure." I replied nodding.
"Are you a transfer student here?"
I nodded, whilst playing with my food.
"Me too, my brother Chris and I came here from England last year." he said.
"Oh, nice to meet you I'm Lily." I said with a warm smile.
