Chapter Fourteen

"Dean, Percy you don't even know how to build a fire" I said and laughed at them.

They both looked up at the same time looking annoyed.

"Oh ya? You do then? C'mon show us how to build up a fire" Percy said getting up.

"Bro she is hurt, she won't be able to" Dean said hitting Percy's chest.

"She will won't you?" Jana said. "Dean stop teasing her."

"Sorry hon, but its really fun seeing her annoyed expression" Dean replied.

"I'll do it" I said bending down next to Percy to blow air at it.

Ya I knew how to build fires, we would have a lot of bonfires when I was young.

Soon the fire started slightly. I looked at Dean and Percy who were looking at me in awe.

I smiled at them and got up. "Drama queen" Jo whispered.

I looked at him and raised an eyebrow.

"Ya?" I said. He smiled and nodded.

Our conversation was over there. I was still not talking to him very much. I was still upset with him.

"Ok fine, I accept you know some 'stuff' better than us" Dean said.

"I know" I said proudly.

We all sat down at the now blazing bonfire. I was sitting next to Chris and Ariana. Beside Chris sat Connor and Philip. And beside Ariana sat Percy. Opposite me were Jana, Dean, Joel and Katie. Summer and Austin still weren't there.

"Bro, you brought the beer didn't you?" Percy asked.

Dean nodded.

"What? You guys bought drinks?" Katie asked speaking my thoughts.

"Yep" Chris said beside me. "We were supposed to have a proper bonfire yesterday, but then because of...we didn't"

I smiled knowingly. But seriously they had bought drinks? I seriously was friends with a bunch of weirdos.

Soon cans of beer was being passed around. I refused to drink because the last time I did I almost murdered myself.

"C'mon Lil, one sip won't hurt you" Philip inquired.

I shook my head.

"You need to" he said again.

"Ya here you go" Chris agreed and handed me one can. Seriously? What kind of people were they? Handing out drinks to people?

"Fine" I said giving up.

Soon we were just a bunch of teens, drunk in a deserted area shouting our lungs out.

"I rule the world" I shouted.

"No I do!" Dean protested.

"No I rule the world" Chris said.

"All three of you do happy?" Katie said.

I smiled like a fool at that. I nodded. Ya that seemed fair enough. Then I went towards Chris and tripped.

"Careful babe" he said holding me.

"Thanks Chris" I said looking up at him. He looked hot that night. "You look hot!" I said letting my thoughts out.

"I always do!" Chris replied.

We sang, and danced. I even danced with my hurt foot. What alcohol does to your body! God!

Soon everybody started to sleep. I myself fell asleep on Chris's lap who was asleep on a log.

"Where are my shoes?" Dean's voice woke me up.

I sat up rubbing my eyes. I looked around. Wow! Great view. Dean was roaming around without any shoes shouting. Connor and Philip were sleeping together with a bunch of leaves on their hair. Jo and Katie were nowhere to be seen. Ya...they didn't drink last night. Might have slept in the tent. Jana was hugging a huge leaf and sleeping.

Chris woke up next to me. He had leaves stuck in his hair. I checked my own hair, and sure enough there were leaves on my hair too.

"Hey babe!" he said.

"Hi" I replied looking around again. Still shocked about the surroundings.

"Wow dude! You lost your shoe?" Chris asked Dean.

Dean nodded looking annoyed.

The next few hours was spent getting everybody oriented. We then packed up our tents and other stuff. I didn't want to go home because that meant to face my problems with my aunt.

"You ready?" Ariana asked.

"Yep" I said going towards the car.

This time I was forced to sit at the back with Katie, because my brother was feeling car sick the day we came.

I sat down beside the window, Chris beside me and Katie on the other side.

"So what will you do after you go home?" Chris asked me.

I looked at him and rolled my eyes, "As if you don't already know"

"You'll sleep? Eat?" he said.

I rolled my eyes again. Then I looked out of the window.

"I will talk to Mia after I get home" I whispered.

He took my hand and squeezed it. "You'll be great at talking to her" he said.

Then something striked me. "Um why are you being so nice to me?" I ask.

"What? Me being nice?" he snorted and left my hand.

Awww. But I wanted him to hold my hand for some more time. I looked at him and again I realized something I had long forgotten. He was hot. Lily seriously?

I looked out of the window again. Why was he being so nice to me? Wasn't he a jerk? Schools popular kid? Player? Ya he was a player. Maybe that's the reason. But I'm not that good looking or anything. He could easily get some other girl. My head rant went on.

"Lil?" Chris said breaking through my thoughts.

"Ya?" I said turning to look at him. Hmmm he looked hot in the white shirt. God this weekend really messed with your brain lily didn't it? Or maybe it was because of yesterday?

"You coming to school tomorrow?" Chris asked.

"Um ya? Why wouldn't I?" I asked.

"I don't know" he said brushing his hand through his hair. Sexy. Lily calm down.

"Um Lil?" He asked again.

"Ya?" I replied irritated.

"Uh we've reached your house" he said pointing at the house.

"Mia's house you mean" I said getting out.

I waved at Connor, Katie and Chris and went inside my aunts house.

My aunt was sitting on the couch next to another guy. My brother had entered and was talking to them.

I took a deep breath. Calm down. This is gonna be fine. You are gonna be okay. This guy is better than Mia. I tried to convince myself. No convincing wasn't going good.

"Um are you lily?" The guy asked.

I nodded.

"Hey I'm Alex Middletown. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too sir" I said. Oh god. Please. Lily just don't mess it up.
