Chapter Ten

"Hey Lil why are you sitting here alone?" Connor said as he sat down beside me.

"Just like that nothing much to do, Ariana is out there flirting with Percy...so ya...." I trailed. "And how did it go with Chris? Did he say something?"

"Umm...he was kind of mad at me for telling you first about it, and he went away before I could explain it" Connor said looking down.

"I would have done the same thing if I were him, don't worry he'll come back around." I said looking at him sympatheticly.

"It won't be soon, I know him."

"Listen daddy, don't worry, I'll talk to him and explain your reasons" I said patting his shoulder and getting up.

"You will talk to him for me?" Connor asked getting up too.

"Ya why not?" I said and together we walked back to the tents.

As we walked I saw Chris and summer arguing, they were shouting at each other and summer looked furious.

"....its all your fault, you are a jerk and you are popular for no reason." Summer shouted

"Well you are useless and you are always messing up things." Chris shouted back.

"Asshole" Summer said and walked away.

Chris sat down on the chair cursing.

"You go and talk to Philip, I'll talk to him meanwhile." I told Connor.

"You sure?" he asked.

"Yep" I said and made my way towards him.

"What's up? What was the shouting all about?" I asked Chris who was looking down at his soaked clothes.

"Uh Summer dropped her drink on me and then started acting like a bitch about it!" Chris said grumpily.

"Oh" I said sitting down next to him.

After a minute or two Chris leaned forward and looked at me and said, "When did Connor tell you that he was gay?"

"Few days after I joined school."

He leaned back again and cursed. Wow he seemed pissed.

"Listen Chris, he was scared of what you would say to him. As for me he didn't know me over well so he wanted to see how other people react before telling it to you...he was scared of what you would say. And now he thinks you are angry with him for being gay." I said looking at him.

"I'm not angry at him for being gay. I'm just angry at him for telling some stranger about it?"

"Stranger? You think I'm a stranger?" I said looking at Connor and Philip talking in a distance.

"No I didn't mean that...I just... Whatever, but I don't know what to say to Connor." He said.

He was changing the topic. But this was about Connor and not me. "He feels neglected right now Chris, and the feeling is not good."

"How do you know?" Chris said looking at me.

"I've experienced being neglected by my loved ones." I said looking in front.

"What do you mean?"

"Never mind" I said still not meeting his eyes.

"C'mon tell me" he said forcing me to look at him.
