"Lily can you zip me up?" Mia asked me as I entered her room.
She looked beautiful, her white wedding dress flowed till the floor and extended a bit towards the back. The back was netted till a little above the waist, her brown hair was up in a beautiful bridal bun, done by experts. And she wore light makeup and a gleaming smile.
"Yes Mia." I said and zipped my aunt's dress. "You look beautiful Mia." I said smiling.
"Thanks. As do you. This dress looks really good on you." Mia said.
"Thanks." I said, my sea blue/green dress ended at my knees in front, and flowed backwards till my silver heels in the back. My hair was flowing with a waterfall braid (suggested by Mia). It had little silver diamonds studded on some places, which enhanced the look.
The door knocked behind me and I opened it to reveal Chris' father, who was walking with Mia to where Alex would be standing because her father wasn't there.
I smiled at him and looked behind him, in search for a particular boy who promised he'd meet me here.
"Chris is coming." Chris' father told me.
I blushed and nodded and went back to fixing Mia's dress. After a while the door opened and I looked back smiling knowing who it was.
"Hello Lily." Chris said as I turned around.
"Hey, you look...good." I said.
Chris chuckled and leaned in to kiss my cheek. "And you look beautiful." He whispered.
I blushed again, and then turned to Mia, who was now looking nervous. Okay, maid of honour duties! So I went to her and calmed her down. It took some time but she looked better, and calmer than before.
"Ready? Let's go." I said finally and walked out with Chris behind Mia and his father.

The doors flung open and the soft music filled our ears. The gold and white decorations glowed up the room. Down the aisle was Alex standing beside the priest. He too looked nervous.
The music continued as Mia walked down the aisle and went and stood in front of Alex, smiling.
I wondered what she must be thinking, what the feeling of finally marrying a mab you love felt. I wondered why she was nervous, maybe it was because her life would now revolve around the man she was marrying. As the maid of honour I stood beside the best man, Joel looking at my aunt getting married.
Chris was standing beside Joel, and the other bridesmaids beside me.
The vows started. The priest said this huge speech about togetherness and love and respect, which I hardly listened to because I was busy analyzing what Mia felt on the insides.
I smiled as she finally spoke the words, "I do." The words which finally bond the couple together into one.
This would be a new starting, not only for Mia but also for Joel and me.
The vows were over. They were now kissing, the couple looked really cute. My aunt, who had been heartbroken and rude was no longer that, she had been fixed by this man and was now happy.
A tear of happiness rolled down my eye as I saw then staring into each others eyes, as they separated. A million words leaving there eyes, and a million sentences spoken without words.

"Cake?" Chris asked me.
I nodded. The marriage was over, now only the lunch and speech was left. And I was so excited to hear Mia's speech that I was eating uncontrollably.
"Wow, you're...wow." Chris said looking surprised.
"What? I can't help it. I'm nervous." I mumbled with the cake in my mouth.
"Nervous for what?" Chris chuckled.
"Nervous about what Mia will say." I said.
"Oh. Its gonna be okay. I guess." Chris chuckled again leading me to the front row as Mia got up to give her speech.
Shit. She is gonna complain about me. What if she embarrasses me?
"This speech to Alex, my husband." Mia started. "I met you during my working hours. You used to come and meet me everyday. And soon we fell in love. But this love also brought about changes, changes in my behavior. It realize how wrong I was."
I think I knew what was coming next. I braced myself for it. I would not cry.
"This to Lily, my niece. Who lost her parents, whose brother stopped believing in her, whose aunt hated her. I'm sorry. I realize how wrong I was. How bad I was to you. I wish you could forgive me, and start afresh. A new start, all over again."
But I think I couldn't help it. Tears rolled down my cheeks, as I remembered my first days here. How lost I was. How no one was there for me. But I was also glad, glad that Mia was sorry. That she wanted me to be a part of her family.
"Lily, come here and say a few words." A person said.
I nodded and got up in front of the mic.
"To Mia, my aunt. I-I can't say how pleased I am that you finally found someone who loves you this much. I'm so happy for you that I don't have words. One more thing, before I leave. Thank you for letting me into your family, thank you for making me one of your own. Thank you." I stammered and stuttered throughout my speech. But by the end of it, I felt better.
I smiled at Joel and he got up to say a few words. His words were encouraging and positive. One that made us all happy and better.
The rest of the evening I just beside the bride, listening to people say congratulations to her. Chris was standing beside me the whole time, smiling at me. I knew he wanted to say something, something cheesy but he didn't. He just held mischievous smirk and looked at me a the whole time.
