Your sister walked into the room you were in, looking from you to Lapis. Lapis waved at Tiana, the hoodie still on with the hood up. "I guess..? At least you're making friends here already," Tiana said, setting the pizza box on the table and the grocery bags in the kitchen on the counter.

"Heh, yep!" You said, still slightly nervous. You gestured for Lapis to follow you to the table and seat herself. Your sister appeared with plates and set them in front of everyone. "So, Lapis, where do you live?" Tiana asked. Lapis uncomfortably shifted. "Homeworld. Well, used to anyway. I guess I live more in the Ocean area," she said. Well, no going back now. You have to be honest. Tiana nodded. "That's cool. and how did you two meet?" Tiana asked. You knew she was just as confused as you were when you met Lapis but she hided it behind an interested act. "I stepped on her by accident while walking along the water. I didn't know she was there, she was... well, just a gem," you said, looking at Lapis while opening the pizza box and grabbing a slice for yourself and Lapis. Lapis took off your hoodie and reached behind her back, touching the tip of her gem. She looked at you and shrugged, while your sister was looking at both of you. "Oooookayyy," Tiana said as she started eating. The table was quiet. You glanced at Lapis as she had a confused look on her face while looking at the pizza. "Lapis, are you not hungry?" you asked, poking her arm. "I don't need to eat. I've never eaten before. It just isn't a Gem thing..." She said, looking up at you. Your sister got up. "wHAAAAAAAT??? YOU'RE A GEM?? LIKE THE CRYSTAL GEMS????" She shouted excitedly. Lapis crookedly smiled. "Like I told (Y/N), you could put it that way. But I'm not with the Crystal Gems. I don't really know whose side I'm on," Lapis said, still having that usual calm tone. Your sister went off like a firework with questions for half an hour. It was 11:00 now.

"Hey, Tiana? It's pretty late. You should write down your remaining questions and save them for tomorrow," you said, chuckling. Your sister nodded. "Alright! You need your rest!" Tiana said, walking away. Lapis let out a long held sigh of relief. "Thanks once again, (Y/N). I thought she'd never stop!" she laughed. "Pfff, she's like that," you said, giggling.
"SO! Sleep. That's a thing. Do you need me to get you a blanket or something?" You asked. Lapis giggled nervously. "I don't sleep, either," she said. You sighed and smiled at her. "Oh just tell me all that you don't do that's normal for me!" You said with an exaggerated playful tone. "Well, I don't eat, I don't sleep, I don't really need to breath either. Or drink," Lapis said. "Oh just try to sleep, it's easy. Come on!" You said, grabbing Lapis's hand and walking to where you and your sister slept. You dug around in the closet and found a duvet. You placed the duvet on the ground and put down one of your spare pillows. "Sooooo, what do I do now?" She asked, tilting her head at you. "Now you just lay down like this," you said as you climbed into your own bed and laid back. "And just close your eyes and breathe evenly and you'll doze off!" You said, rolling onto your side so you could look at Lapis. She laid down and closed her eyes, folding her hands on her stomach. "Am I doing it right?" She asked, keeping her eyes closed. "Yep! Now just try not to talk unless it's urgent," you said, pulling your blanket over your head and yawned, quickly falling asleep.
Lapis, on the other hand, was having trouble falling asleep. Seeing Malachite every time she closed her eyes. She decided not to sleep but rather to lay there and look like she was asleep. She tried to think happy things instead. Like seeing Steven again soon.
