You woke up on your own and felt something lying across your belly. Rubbing your eyes with your free hand, you looked to see what it was. You saw Lapis's arm stretched across you and she was asleep, basically cuddling you. You blushed deeply, then reminded yourself that you fell asleep on her. She probably couldn't move. You carefully wriggled free from Lapis's arms and tip toed to the closet to get your clothes for the day. You saw a black beanie that you didn't wear anymore. You decided you'd give that to Lapis. You grabbed your (F/C) sweater and your baggy jeans. Quietly tip toeing into the bathroom, you turned on the shower. Making sure the water was warm, you stepped in. As you were washing your hair, the water jerked to the side. "Ehhh??" You didn't know what was happening. Little did you know, Lapis heard the water start up and knew you were in the shower, since your sister was still asleep. She was on the outside of the door, messing with the water. You huffed, touching the water. It formed into a water sculpture of Lapis snickering behind a door. You giggled. "Lapis, I get it, you can control water! But, you can't see me right now, can you?!" You asked, a little nervous if she could see you. "No," was all you heard from the outside. You sighed with relief. You continued you wash yourself, chuckling. "Oh, Lapis," you said to yourself.
After getting ready, you handed Lapis the beanie. "Try this on. I stopped wearing it, so," you said. Lapis threw on the beanie, looking adorable as usual. "Can we go now?" She asked, pushing you out the doors and laughing. You flicked her shoulder before shouting "Race ya!" As you started running to the Big Donut. Looking back to see how far Lapis was behind, you only saw that she had disappeared. You stopped running and looked around. "Lapis?" You called out. No response. "Lapis, where'd you go?" You shouted, getting concerned. Suddenly, something swept you up off the ground. You looked up and Lapis was flying around. She giggled, looking down at you. You laughed as she flew down and landed at the Big Donut. "We win," she said, giggling. You flicked her shoulder again. "I could have won," you said, still smiling.
You both waited for Steven to appear, and he did. Steven and Lapis hugged a greeting, and started talking immediately. Lapis started describing her discovery of scary movies.
"Hey, Lapis? I'm gonna go pick us up some breakfast or something. You can stay there," you said as you walked off and started looking around for any fast food places with reasonably good food.
Lapis waved as you left and turned back to Steven. "Hey, Steven? I'm only asking you this because if (Y/N) heard, she'd start asking who it is. S-so... What do you tell someone you like that you're not sure they like you back," she asked the boy, nervously blushing. "Just ask them if they want to be friends!" Steven answered, smiling at Lapis. Lapis shook her head. "No, Steven, I mean like... Love someone. But you're not sure if they feel about you that way..." She said, shifting her feet. "Hmmm... Tell them straight up how you feel?" Steven suggested. "It's harder than that, Steven. I wish it could be easy like that but it's not," Lapis said. Steven thought for a moment. "Try an out of nowhere kiss! It always works in the movies!" He said, happily throwing his arms in the air. "Out of nowhere...kiss?" Lapis raised an eyebrow. "Yeah! Just get their attention and then kiss them out of nowhere!" Steven said, his hands still in the air. "Well... If it always works in the movies... And if movies are sometimes based off of real life events... Okay! I'll give it a try! Thanks Steven!" Lapis said, hugging the boy.
You returned a minute later with some pizzas. "It was nearby so I thought why not," you said, handing everyone a slice. "Thanks, (Y/N)!" Steven said, biting into the pizza. You all sat on the bench, eating pizza. "So, what'd you guys talk about while I was gone?" You asked. Steven opened his mouth to speak but Lapis shoved the pizza into his mouth before he could say anything. "Dead Silence. It was a great movie, (Y/N)," she said, smiling innocently. Steven gave her a look but she just signaled with her eyes to not say anything. Steven shrugged and continued eating the pizza. You chuckled. "Netflix is a godly thing sent from the heavens above, Lapis. Remember that," you said. "Oh, I will!" She said, giggling. You all laughed until Steven gasped. "Lapis, you might want to hide behind the bench," he said, pointing with his head to the direction where a tall woman was standing, her hair cube shaped and wearing some kind of visor standing next to a shorter woman who had peach colored pixie cut looking hair dressed like a ballerina with a ribbon around her waist. Standing next to her was the girl you've seen before, the purple girl.
Lapis rolled behind the bench repeatedly saying "nope" as she hid behind you. The short and chubby purple girl tapped on the woman who looked like a ballerina, pointing in the direction of Steven. Steven waved at the women and they walked over. "Steven, there you are! We were worried about you! Amethyst called if you wanted to go on the mission and we expect you to show up but you didn't," the ballerina woman, upon closer observation, had a long nose and a gem on her forehead, said as she grabbed Steven's shoulders.
"Ey, Steven. Who is your human friend?" The purple girl, you forgot her name, asked. "That's (Y/N). She started working here," he said, nervously glancing at you. You forced a smile and waved. The purple girl waved back at you. The tall woman with the visor looked at the other two. "Pearl, Amethyst, if we don't hurry, it could discover the warp pad and go on a rampage in beach city," she said, an accent of some kind in her voice. Pearl looked at the tallest woman. "Oh, yes, thats right," she said. She cleared her throat and faced you. "We're very sorry but we must take Steven home now, it's urgent and if we don't make sure he's safe in the temple you will all die," she said, sounding a little hysterical. The gems quickly jumped and disappeared, leaving you confused. Lapis hopped back next to you. "That was the crystal gems," she said. You looked at her. "More like the mom gems," you said, giggling. Lapis laughed. Her laughter faded into a nervous ehhh. You looked at her. "Something the matter, Lapis?" You asked. Lapis glanced at you, and you could see she was blushing. "Can we go somewhere else?" Was all she said. "Um, sure?" You said, holding your arms up in a shrug. She sprouted her wings and wrapped her arms around your torso and flew off, to a quiet and empty beach. She landed by the water, and set you down.
"So, why are we here?" You asked, looking around. "Look at me," Lapis said. You turned to face her. She was looking down, her hair yet again in her face. She looked up at you and you noticed she was blushing deeply. Before you knew it, her lips crashed onto yours, and her arms were wrapped around your neck so you couldn't pull away.
