i giggled softly, my head being thrown back into the pillows was michael laughed beside me. "do you want to go out?"
"already asking me on a date?" i teased but michael shook his head. "you're not even my type."
"correction, i'm everybody's type." i smiled and the white haired boy rolled his eyes and got off the bed. "i'm serious, it's been two weeks since we last stole."
i nodded, the night coming back. "who do you hate?"
"courtney, remember the day last year i wore a skirt to school?" i nodded my head. "she purposely got it stuck to the table so they had to cut it off."
i frowned. "i remember that day. i bought you another one didn't i?"
"doesn't make up for what she did." michael mumbled. "i felt pretty."
"then i'll buy you another skirt." i chuckled. "i didn't know you were into that sort of stuff." i looked over at him curiously and he hit a blush under the sleeve of his sweater.
"i don't like to wear it that much." michael shook his head and then added. "do you want to go now? it's not that long a walk."
i looked over at the clock, seeing it was only ten at night and i knew something was going to go wrong. who goes to sleep at ten anymore?
"are you sure she won't be awake?" i bit my bottom lip as i tugged a black t-shirt over my head. i pulled my black jeans up my legs and waited for michael to respond.
"nope, she'll be up." michael popped the 'p' before opening my balcony doors and jumping back over to his own.
i waited for him to come back, and when he did i did not expect him to be wearing faded blue short shorts and one of my plain white t-shirts. "do you want me to strike a pose too?"
i mumbled a small 'no' and he grabbed my hand, leading us downstairs where my mom was sitting at the kitchen table. "going somewhere this late?
"we just wanted to go on a walk." michael smiled at her and she glanced up from her paperwork, eyes widening at michael's outfit. "that's new."
"is something wrong with it?" michael looked down and frowned but my mom quickly shook her head. "no, i've just never seen a boy wear a girl's clothes. and i'm glad the first person i've seen pulled them off so well."
michael's smile grew wide and he thanked her before she waved us off and we left. it wasn't as cold as before so i stuffed my hands in my pocket as we made our way to courtney's. as soon as the mansion like house came into view, i tugged michael across the street. "how are we going to get in?"
"the front door, duh." michael said in a sarcastic tone and my eyes widened. "are you stupid? she won't let us in!"
"she has to let us in." michael walked up the front steps, holding a hand up to the door but not knocking. "i tutor her on sunday's before the week begins. left my sunglasses on her dresser and haven't asked for them back till now."
michael landed three soft knocks on the door and a dog started barking making me flinch. through the blurry glass on the sides of the door, i could see a woman walking towards the door and i fixed my posture as she opened it. "can i help- oh hi michael."
michael pulled a fake smile at the woman who looked like courtney's mom. "hi mrs. rose, i think i left my sunglasses here last time i came over. do you mind if i run up and get them?"
"of course not." she waved us off, completely ignoring my existance as she let us in. "courtney should be in her room if you can't find them yourself."
