Dedicated to Yanna_Monster you little demon lol! I hope you get better!
The rest of school kept me on edge. I had classes with both Elijah and Beatrice, who now act like sworn enemies.
I'm walking Beatrice to Mr. Indigo's class at the end of the day. She hands me her keys.
"Deja will be out in an hour or so, so you might as well drive up there." Beatrice explains, as if I haven't picked her up many times before.
She hands me the keys. I walk to the parking lot, and to my horror, a couple is making out on the side of her car.
They're so lucky I saw them instead of Beatrice or she might have actually killed them.
"Get away from my car!" I yell.
They slowly separate and I see its Elijah and his thing of the week. He's horrible and disgusting.
I try not to notice, but with this bastard, I can't help but notice! My body shakes as I make eye contact with his confident eyes and see his face smirking at me.
I take a step forward and ball up my fists. He narrows his eyes, wishing I would try something.
I swing for his face. He blocks and grabs my hand. I swing with my weakest hand and he easily grabs it.
"Now what Princes-"
I kick him in the balls. He lets go of me and falls to his knees. The girl gasps and I smirk.
I get in the car, feeling empowered. I start the car and drive off.
Oh my God, did I just do that? Oh, my God, I did just do that?! Oh, my God why did I do that? He so deserved it, that's why!
I turn on the radio and I Know by Big Sean comes on. I know this song, because of Beatrice. She is the reason I know most of the songs I do.
I turn it up loud, and sing along with it.
I pull up to Deja's daycare. I park the car and go inside. I've had to pick Deja so many times, the people working there all know me.
They get her and I pick her up. She smiles at me and giggles. I sign the paper and head towards the door.
I see a familiar man. He's dark skinned with long dreads that go past his shoulders. He is one of the tallest people I've ever known, standing at least 6'6".
He's built like an athlete and has enough tattoos to cover his visible skin, except on his face. He never gets anything on his face. Once you get to know him, you find out he's smart. He's scary smart. He got scholarships to all five colleges of his choosing, which is great because he's not rich like the rest of us.
He walks up to me. "Wassup Sunshine." Ryan greets.
"Hey Ryan."
"Daddy!" Deja yells, stretching her arms out towards him.
He smiles and takes her. She hugs him.
"I missed you, Baby."
"I missed you too, daddy."
He wraps me in a hug. "Beatrice got detention?"
"Yeah, you already know."
He chuckles and we head to the parking lot.
"Did you leave your car at your college?" I ask.
He nods. "My friend dropped me off." He answers.
"Ok, I gotta go get my baby from the shop." I tell him.
I unlock the doors, and he straps Deja in and gets in the passenger seat.
