This is in Beatrice's POV.
"So Girl, he did what?" I ask Eliza, walking into class.
"He taught me how to swim."
"Did y'all kiss?" I ask.
"No he's not the type to kiss on the first date. He's the type to just look at the stars and talk about the Universe and dreams."
"So it was definitely a date."
We take our seats and the door opens.
"Most definitely." She smirks.
Elijah walks through the door.
"So you going on dates now?" He asks Eliza.
Yikes! I didn't think he heard that.
"Yeah." She answers weakly.
He nods. "Cool. How was it?" He asks.
"It was good." She answers awkwardly.
He nods, clearly unhappy and takes a seat next to me.
He passes me a sheet of paper.
I open it and it reads.
We should talk later.
I grab my pen. About what?
Eliza. what else? I have an idea and I want to know if you think it's a good one.
Idk. You and her not on good terms.
No shit. But that doesn't matter. I want her.
But have you thought about if she wants you?
I know she does.
I roll my eyes. What's your idea anyway?
I will tell you that after school.
Where after school?
Meet me at that frozen yogurt place up by the school.
Yes! I've been wanting to go there now I have an actual reason.
Ok sounds fine.
Class ends and Emmanuel is waiting outside our classroom.
He blushes when he sees Eliza and she blushes back.
Oh my Lord, I can't with these two.
"Hi bebíta."
Did he just call her baby girl?
"Hi Emmanuel."
"Hi Beatrice." He greets finally looking at me.
"Hola."
He raises a brow. "Tú hablas español."
"Yes I do speak Spanish it is my second language." I tell him.
"Impressive." He smiles.
So the day goes on and is quickly coming to a close.
I get a text in my last class of the day.
Jacob: You want me to come pick you up.
Me: nah I'm going to the frozen yogurt place with a friend
Jacob: which friend?
Me: well friend is kind of a strong word. I know the guy through a friend
Jacob: oh so it is a guy
I roll eyes.
Me: yea it's ElijahJacob: you want me to come?
