Jacob's POV.
I wake up to loud banging at my room.
Ugh this is why I hate sleeping at the office.
I grab my phone and text Beatrice.
"Come in!" I bark.
"Is that anyway to talk to your older sister?" Joyce asks.
"Is that anyway to be banging on your brother's door?" I counter.
She scoffs and plops down on my bed.
"Now what if I said I was naked under these covers?"
"I know you don't sleep naked unless you've fucked and I've been watching your door. No female had come in or out."
"What do you want Joyce?"
"Father wants to talk to you about the promotion."
"Right now?"
"Uh yea, you're turning twenty soon and he wants you to be boss before than."
"You'll be my right hand?"
"Hell yeah, that's what I've always been."
I chuckle. "Ight, I'll talk to you after the meeting."
She nods and leaves and I walk to my closet and put on a suit.
Once all together I walk out and to the kitchen."Hey sweetheart." Monica greets.
Monica, was my first. She has hope we could still be together, but she's a good friend. She understands boundaries.
"Hi Monica."
"You ready for your meeting with the Boss?"
I nod.
"Just don't forget about us little people." She says, winking at me.
I snicker. "Could never forget you Baby."
"That's not what I heard. Joyce says, you fucking some rich bitch. You know that's not how we get down."
I glare at her. Beatrice isn't a bitch. And she shouldn't be treated and talked about like that. How would she know anyway?! She doesn't, she just wants my cock.
"She's not a bitch." I growl at her.
She drops her eyes. "Sorry. I didn't realize how much she meant to you."
I roll my eyes. "Why does everyone emphasise that she's rich. Have y'all forgotten that I'm rich?"
"Have you forgotten you're a thug." She spit.
"No I couldn't ever forget that and because I'm your friend I'll let you get away with talking to me like that. You shouldn't make that mistake again. Do you understand?"
