Scorpius's POV:
It was a Monday morning, and I felt like something was wrong. I quickly got dressed and grabbed my bag and hurried down the stairs to the common room. I have decided that I absolutely hated the common room. Of course, just like every morning, everyone stopped what they were doing to stare at me. Word had spread over night about me and Rose and nobody believed it. So, now, every time I walk into the common room, everyone stops and stares. I've gotten used to it by now, so I waved and flashed a smile. Then I got to the portrait hole as fast as I could. I never said that I liked everyone staring at me.
I walked as fast as I could to Rose and I's meeting spot. Before breakfast we always meet at the broom closet I found her crying in on the first day of term. I guess you could call it "Our Spot."
When I arrived at the broom closet, my thoughts on something being wrong were confirmed. Rose always beat me here, but she was nowhere in sight. I ran the rest of the way down the corridor and into the entrance hall where I saw Rose's friends, Kyra and Danny Finnigan, walking into the great hall.
"Oi! Kyra! Danny!" I called, hurrying to catch up with them. They turned and waited for me to catch my breath. "You haven't seen Rose have you?"
"No, we thought she was out with you all night. It looked like something was on her mind when she left," said Kyra.
"Left? To go where?"
"She said she was going to the library, but she she never came back last night and we thought she was with you all night. We thought you got locked out of the castle or something."
"No, she wasn't with me! Perhaps she fell asleep in the library?" I said. I was starting to panic.
"I don't know if this has anything to do with this or not, but James never came to the dormitory last night either," said Danny. I have never really liked Danny and I don't think he likes me. But I didn't care right now, I needed to find Rose.
"Maybe we should check the library?" suggested Kyra. I nodded and started running towards the library. I ran into a group of first years and they dropped like bowling pins. I stopped for a split second to apologize, then kept on running and didn't stop until I got there.
What I saw in the library is not what I expected. There were books strewn everywhere and bookshelves were knocked over. A window looked like it had been blown apart and there were places on the walls and floor that only spells could make. A terrible thought crept into my mind. Had something happened to Rose? No. Someone would've told us.
"Mr. Malfoy. Mr. Malfoy!" That's when I realized we weren't the only ones in the room. Professor McGonagall and Professor Longbottom were talking to Madamn Pince, (with some difficulty) and Professor McGonagall was trying to get my attention.
"Er... Sorry, Professor."
"It's alright, Mr. Malfoy. I was just asking if you have any idea of what happened here last night?" asked Professor McGonagall.
"No, Professor. I was just looking for Rose."
"Rose said she was going to the library last night and she never returned. We thought she was out with Scorpius and she was just using the library as an excuse. But, when she didn't come back, we didn't know what happened. Scorpius said he never saw her last night," said Kyra.
"Well, haven't you heard? Rose and James... Erm, I mean Miss Weasley and Mr. Potter showed up at the hospital wing late last night," said Professor Longbottom.
"What? James?" I asked. I thought James was angry at Rose for dating me. Maybe they got into a fight in the library and James hurt her. Him and his temper.
