Rose's POV:

Scorpius kissed me. It was the best feeling in the world. It was just a simple kiss, nothing fancy. But it was the best kiss I had ever had.

When we pulled apart he looked me in eyes and grinned. It was the cutest thing I had ever seen.

"Well that was nice," he said, still smiling like a maniac. Then I started giggling.

"It was. You should do that more often. It definitely made my day one hundred times better. Thank you, Scorpius," I said. That just made him smile wider. I realized with a jolt that I really did like Scorpius. A huge smile broke across my face.

   "What?" asked Scorpius.

"I just realized something," I started. He raised an eyebrow waiting for me to continue. "I really like you. I really, really, really like you, Scorp. I'm so glad we became friends. You're the best thing that has happened to me for a long time." When I said that I was glad we became friends, his face fell a little. What was it? Disappointment? Could he really like me back?

"What's wrong?" I asked. His ears turned pink.

"Well, it's just I was hoping we could be more than friends. And I don't mean best friends," he said quietly. I smirked. "You're laughing at me!" I tried to hide my smile.

"No, I'm not. It's just... Cute. And, to save you the pain of more embarrassment, yes."

   "Yes?"

"Yes," I repeated, smiling. A huge smile streatched across his face. I could've stood there all day looking into his beautiful blue eyes. Nothing could ruin this moment. Until I remembered that it was early in the morning and we had the start of term today.

"Uh... Scorpius? We have classes," I said reluctantly. His grin faded.

"Oh, yeah. I never did get breakfast," he frowned.

"I thought you said breakfast was overrated," I giggled.

"Um... Well, it's not if you don't get lunch until one." I laughed. He took my hand and we started walking back down the corridor we had been in. It's a good thing everybody was still at breakfast.

By the time we got back to the entrance hall, everyone was leaving to go to their first lessons. I was about to go get my time table when Scorpius pulled me behind a pillar.

"We have to keep this a secret," he said.

"More secrets? Just what I need. More things to lie to my friends about. You know they will find out eventually. They always do," I said and rolled my eyes. It was really annoying how they always found out my secrets.

"I'm sorry, Rose. But things could get bad if they found out. You know what kind of person they think I am," Scorpius said the last part quietly and looked at the floor. I tugged on his arm until he looked at me again.

"And they have no idea what the real side of you is all about. They don't know what they're missing." I smiled at him and he gave me a half smile. It was adorable when he did that.

"Thanks, Rose. That means a lot."

"You helped me, right?" I asked raising and eyebrow. He laughed.

"Sounds fair. We better go or Professor McGonagall will have our heads," said Scorpius.

"Okay, but we better go one at a time. You know, so it doesn't seem suspicious. I can even make it look like we were fighting or something to cover up from when they saw us in the great hall," I suggested. He smiled and nodded.
