Rose's POV
"Come on Rosie! Hurry up! It's almost ten!"
"Coming!" I yelled to my father, Ron Weasley. I looked around my room for the third time to see if I had forgotten to pack anything. Wand? Check. Books? Check. Parchment and quills? Check. Robes? Check. I looked around one last time before shutting my trunk and dragging it downstairs.
"All packed?" Asked my mother, Hermione Weasley.
"Yes. I triple checked everything," I said with a laugh. "Where's Hugo?"
"Your father is checking his trunk for Weasley's Wizard Wheezes products," she said with a grin. "We had far to many letters from Headmistress MaGonagall last year."
"I'm glad. I feel like I was in her office everyday apologizing for him," I laughed.
Just then a very solemn looking Hugo came down the stairs with Dad behind him wearing a triumphic smile, levitating Hugo's trunk.
"All set, Hugo?" asked Mum suppressing a grin.
"Can we just go?" grumbled Hugo. We all laughed, except for Hugo, and headed to the car, with Mum and Dad levitating our trunks. We all piled in the car and set off for King's Cross Station.
"It's for your own good Hugo," said Dad.
"But, Dad, I don't care if I get a weeks detention if I put liquid puking pastils in the Slytherin's drinks! It's worth it to see there faces get as green as there robes and then run off to the bathroom," whined Hugo.
"Not that I have anything against that idea, but I'm sure Madam Jennings wouldn't want the whole Slytherin house in the hospital wing at once," said Dad.
"Yeah, Hugo. I also don't want to be apologizing to Headmistress MaGonagall every day about your pranks," I said.
Hugo is a jokester. He plays pranks and makes jokes 24/7. He got it from Uncle Fred and Uncle George. Uncle Fred and Uncle George are twins, but Uncle Fred died in the Battle of Hogwarts in 1997. They ran the joke shop, Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, in Diagon Alley together, but after Uncle Fred died, Uncle George kept it up and running with Dad and Hugo's help. That's where Hugo gets all his pranking equipment from. It won't matter if Dad took away everything he had packed from Uncle George, because he will just send more to him at school.
When we arrived at King's Cross Station, Dad went to get some trolleys while Mum helped us get our trunks and my owl, Poppy, and Hugo's owl, Grizzle. Poppy was a snowy owl with black spots in her wings. Grizzle was a barn owl that was brown with black mixed in.
It was 10:45 and we pushed our trolleys quickly between the platforms until we were between platforms 9 and 10.
"Hugo, you first." Hugo looked around for muggles before breaking into a sprint and disappearing through the wall between platforms 9 and 10.
"Rose, now you." I looked around for muggles like Hugo, then ran at the wall. I shut my eyes tight, waiting for the collision, but none came. When I opened my eyes I was on platform ❾¾. Hugo was standing at the edge of the crowd, up on his toes looking over the heads of students and parents.
"I'm going to go find Lily!" He yelled back to me. I nodded and he disappeared into the crowd. I turned around just as Mum and Dad came through the barrier.
"Hugo went to find Lily. Come on, I want to find Albus before the train leaves," I told them. They nodded and we started making our way through the crowd.
We found the five potters at the end of the platform by the last car where we always meet. Hugo was standing with Lily Potter, the youngest of the three Potter children. James was the oldest and going into his 7th year. Albus, like me, was going into his 6th year. Hugo and Lily were both going into their 4th year.
"Hey, Al! Ready for another year?" I asked him as I hugged him from behind.
"Hey, Rose. I guess I'm ready for another year of you pestering me to study and you pulling your hair out stressing over exams," he said with a smirk. I rolled my eyes.
"Hey, Rose!"
"Hey, James! Hi... Danny," I blushed. Danny is in his 7th year like James. Why do I always have to make a fool of myself in front of Danny? That's right, because I have has a crush on him since 3rd year when James started hanging out with him. James and Al knew, but they would never tell. They will definitely make fun of me later for it.
"Well, if it isn't Weasley, Potters, and Finnigan," sneered a voice behind us. Scorpius Malfoy. Oh, how I loathe him. He has tormented me since first year.
"What do you want Malfoy?" growled James.
"Oh, nothing. Just thought I would say hi," said Scorpius. With that he turned to leave, but before he did, he gave me a smile. Not one of his normal smirks, but a warm, genuine smile. What was that about?
"Are you ok, Rose?" Asked Albus. I realized I had been staring where Malfoy had disappeared into the crowd.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking." I didn't know what to make of Malfoy being kind.
"Come on guys, Mum says its 10:58," said Lily. We all hugged our parents, aunts and uncles, and boarded the train. Once we were on the train and found a compartment all to ourselves, we stuck our heads out the window and waved to our relatives. Soon, we were to Hogwarts.
