O Positive

'Lilly's POV'

Felix is strong he'll make it through this...

Don't worry Lilly, he's going to be okay...

The doctors are doing everything they can...

These are just some of the things that the others keep telling me. I know they're just trying to make me feel better, but it only makes me feel worse. My father showed up at the hospital earlier, he's been trying to make me feel better as well.

Misako, Garmadon and Sensei took Ari, Gwen and Jackson back to the monastery.

At some point I fall asleep on Lloyd's shoulder, involuntarily.

My eyes open as soon as someone begins shaking my shoulder. I stand up and look to the tall male doctor standing in front of me

"What happened to Felix?" I ask, my voice shaky

"Well, Felix is alive for now, but he needs an immediate heart transplant from someone with O Positive blood." The doctor tells us.

Who has O Positive blood? Not me, not Cole, not-Wait! My father steps forward

"I'll do it. I'm the only one here with O Positive blood." He says

"Dad, no..." My eyes tear up

"Lilly, Cole I love you both and I am extremely proud of you kids. I will be reunited with your mother, and we'll see you both again someday." He holds his arms open. Cole and I hug him tightly

"Goodbye dad, I love you..." Tears fall from my eyes

"Goodbye dad. We're going to miss you..." Cole whispers. We pull away and Cole holds me against his chest, just like he did when my mother died. My father turns back to the doctor.

"Alright, Mr. Brookstone, are you absolutely sure that you want to do this?" The doctor asks

"Yes, I'm sure." The doctor leads my father away from us

"I'm going to miss him." Cole's voice is shaky and cracking

"Me too." I push my face into my chest as the tears fall faster.

Why did one person I love have to die for another to live?

Hours pass. I check the clock; 9:00am. The surgery should be over soon. Nurses have visited us many times to give us updates on how the surgery is going. Every nurse has told us that the surgery is going well.

I stand up immediately when another nurse approaches us

"Hello, Mrs. Garmadon. I have been sent to inform you that Felix's surgery is finished and went very well. He should make a full recovery. But, as you know, Mr. Brookstone is dead, I am very sorry for your loss." She bows her head slightly

"Thank you... M-may I see him?" I ask

"Of course, he was just waking up when I left the room. Please, follow me." Lloyd and I follow her down many white halls, before we find ourselves in a medical room.

I walk in first, Lloyd behind me. Felix lays on the medical bed. He has more machines hocked up to him then ever before.

"Felix..." I whisper, putting a hand over my mouth. Tears of happiness roll down my cheeks

"Shh, Lilly." Lloyd wraps an arm around my shoulders

"Mom... Dad..." Felix whispers from his bed

"Hi Felix..." I kneel down beside him and hesitantly place my hand over his, which has an IV needle in it

"Mom... What happened..?" He asks

"You needed a heart transplant, so Lou gave you his..." Lloyd says, kneeling down beside me

"I'm sorry mom..." A tear rolls down his cheek

"Don't be sorry Felix, he's with my mom now, they're together again..." I smile at him

"Thank you mom, and dad, for everything." It seems that he can't keep his eyes open, and he falls asleep.

Lloyd and I stand up. He takes my hand in his as we make our way to the others

"How is he?" Nya asks and holds her arms open for a hug

"He's going to be okay." I smile as I hug her.

We make our way back to the monastery. Felix has to stay in the hospital for a while, and we have to plan my father's funeral.
