It's been a couple weeks since I broke up with Jason and honestly I feel good.
Thanksgiving is approaching Thursday of this week, and it's our last day before we go on break.
I'm in the band office finishing up my physics homework, I missed class the other day so I was highly confused. My section leader was in here so I decided to ask her to help me since she's a math genius.
"I can help you best friend" her boyfriend David said. David is a little Asian dude who has been calling me Bestfriend ever since last year when Paul was here. I never called him Bestfriend back only because I know Paul has an issue with that.
My section leader and David helped me understand and I finished it up before going to turn it in. As I walked outside this random flute girl walked up to me.
"Hey did you see him" she asked. I was highly confused.
"See who?"
"Paul he's here, he's back"
"Wait like he's here now?"
"Yes he's in the percussion room"
I nodded. "Cool, I'm not here" I quickly went back into the band office. I knew Paul was coming at some time today because he's on break. I guess a nervous feeling came over me when she told me he was here.
This trumpet girl walked in the office. "Your Bestfriend is here he's down the hall"
"Thanks for telling me I'm not here." I decided to look over my physics work again when I heard the office door open.
"So you trying to hide from me now" I looked up and sure enough it was Paul.
My Bestfriend was looking fine as fuck, having his ears pierced really fits him. He was in his FAMU sweat suit, I got up out my chair to hug him.
"Who told you I was trying to hide."
"Don't worry about that" he winked before going inside the band room.
I walked back outside to go return my homework.
When I got back I found Alex sitting in the patio.
"Go get your man Shanice, I seen him"
She smirked.
"Tiaa" I reminded her.
"And? Stop letting her get in the way"
I shook my head and walked inside the band hallway to get to the band office. When I opened the door to the hallway I was faced with Paul and Tia playing around.
I mentally rolled my eyes as I walked passed them.
The day went smooth, we had practice after to keep our brains fresh before the break.
David came up to me after practice handing me his keys. "Can you go move my car for me"
I smiled taking his car keys. The student parking lot is so far from the patio, but I went to go move his car.
When I got to the back parking lot, his girlfriend and her other friends approached the car.
"He let you move his car?" My section leader asked.
I looked at her like obviously that's a dumb question but I decided to be nice "yes" I replied.
I walked into the Patio and handed David back his car keys. When I got back to the back parking lot I joined my group of friends.
"Hey why does David give you special treatment sometimes?" One of the girls asked.
"I don't think he does."
