25. Birthday Week

Jamal POV...

Shanice birthday is tomorrow and she doesn't need to be stressing about this situation. Honestly I'm not upset at what happened, I'm actually happy.

Paul and Shanice stay playing games, they belong together and I'm just waiting for them to notice that.

I have nothing against Tia, I'm cool with her and really don't have anything against her and Paul's relationship.

Shanice has been in a good mood all day even after Alex talked to her this morning and I find that a bit awkward. Shanice gets mad real easily and she can stay in a pissy mood for a long while.

It's lunch time and I'm just waiting for her to show up. After a couple minutes she walked in the patio. I know she wasn't going to get anything to eat, she hates school lunch.

"Hey" she sighed as she sat down.

"Hey so wassup with everything?" I asked.

"Alex told me what she did this morning and she been apologizing non stop. I finally texted her back and told her it's all good but tomorrow my birthday and I'm finally going to be legal so I'm chilling"

I nodded. She has the perfect attitude right now and I'm proud. "Did he ask you yet?"

"Paul, yea I told him i don't know who told cause that's a lot of explaining to do" I watched as her face dropped as her eyes went in the direction behind me. I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Jamal come here" Tia motioned me to come to her table where her and Alex were going to sit. I told Shanice I'll be back.

"Wassup" I asked.

"Did they do it?" Tia asked.

"Who" I knew what she was talking about but why do she think I'll tell her something like that.

"Did Paul have sex with Shanice?"

I chucked "that's not my business Tia"

"So they did have sex?"

"I don't know if they did or if they didn't either way that's not my business so I don't know how else to answer you"

"Even if they really did have sex there's not much you can do Tia" Alex jumped in.

"For real, Shanice about to graduate and she's most likely going to FAMU, so if they fuck up there what are you going to do? You can't really stop them." I added on.

"Jamal shut the fuck up" I put my hands up in surrender as I busted out laughing, she was getting mad by the second.

I mean Alex and I had a point though, I mean she sitting here stressing about this when she really don't have much control over.

I finally went back to Shanice.

"She interrogated you ain't it?" Shanice asked.

"Yea, it was funny cause she asking me did yall do it and I'm saying I don't know cause it's not my business" I continue to tell her the rest.

"I swear yall be doing that shit on purpose" Shanice said irritably

"Do what?"

"That. It's like yall basically trying to tell her that Paul and I already got something going on secretly and she can't really stop us cause we're going to continue doing it"

"Exactly Shanice, look at you, you trying to act like you care but I'm pretty sure you do not regret any of that happening. You don't care about her or her feelings, and it's the truth, you and Paul going to continue doing whatever behind closed doors not caring."
