12. Still Confused

"Hey Shanice" Jhanae came into my room distracting me from my phone

"Wassup nigga?"

"I wanted to talk to you about something" She said as I was texting somebody back, she grabbed my phone from me "Sha stop texting and listen to me please, wait whose Jason?" She asked taking a peak of who I was texting.

"Damn brahh why you got to be so nosey? Yes Jhanae, what do you want to talk about?" I asked slightly getting irritated

"Who is Jason?"

"You remember the last time we went to the mall, and went into that store but you disappeared to go meet up with George?"

"Wait you talking about that boy that had that sexy ass smile that was working at the cash register?"

"Yea him" I replied

"Oh how long have you guys been talking?" She asked

"A few months now, but we're kind of serious but you know I'm playing with people at school mainly Paul so Jason and I are talking but talking to other people at the same time" I explained

"Does he know you have a best friend that you have benefits with?" She asked

"We don't have benefits we never fucked before" I answered her looking confused. Jhanae looked at me with a straight face

"Shanice, the kissing, touching, and all that other stuff is benefits"

"Jhanae that's nothing we're best friends nothing more you can't even call it benefits because I'm playing games with him" I clarified

"True, but it's still benefits in some type of way because for starters you always snapped when somebody touch you on your neck or your butt. You never like hugging some boys because their intentions are to feel on your ass, but when Paul does that you let him, shit you even let him feel all on your KitKat the other day." I busted out laughing because I knew she was right.

"Point is you like his touch, and I bet if anybody else tries to feel on your ass or anything else you going to defend it for Paul... That's benefits" I laughed at the way she said that. She was right but that doesn't mean I'm going to tell Jason that. I decided to change the subject a little bit

"Hey you know I was thinking the other day and I thought if he were to ever get in a relationship I most likely won't get along with his girl and somewhat vice versa" I admitted

"What made you think that? And are you sure you wouldn't get along with her or she wouldn't get along with you? Vice versa; your nigga won't get along with Paul. You and Paul are too mature for that pettiness it's probably your mates that'll have a problem with yall"

'You're right" I agreed

"So where did that come from?"

"Well last week I was chilling with this girl in my section and she told me some new things about him"

Last Week...

I stayed after school with my friend Simone. We were walking around school talking about random stuff

"Hey where's your man?"

"He's not my man but he's probably practicing why" I asked.

"He is your man you need to put him in check" I laughed at her statement

"Why"

"I think he's talking to that girl that's always in the hallway in the mornings" She said trying her best to describe the girl

"I don't know who talking about but why do you think that?" I asked her

"I always see them together he's always walking her to class and they seem pretty close it's either they're talking or they fucking" I felt uncomfortable when she said the last part, I don't know much about his relationship life and ill like to stay clueless

"I think I know who you talking about now but wow ok" I responded.

"You don't care?" She asked shocked

"No, of course not, I don't know why yall think I like him, I don't, and he's just my best friend"

"Oh ok that's good"

Jhanae busted out laughing after I told her what happened. "Brahh Simone seems like the type to cause trouble"

"She seems like the type but she's not she's just one of the many people that sees something between me and Paul but we always deny it" I responded.

"Hmm well think of it like this, if the girl he talking to knew what really went on between yall she wouldn't like it, but it's going to be exposed to her soon but if Paul is a good guy he'll probably cut all the benefits thing yall got going on off and focus on her only"

We both busted out laughing together when I noticed what she said "he a hoe so why you thought?" I asked

"You right" She agreed. "But did you talk to Paul yet?"

"Yea but we haven't discuss what happened yet, thank god" I said in relief

"It will come soon just wait on it, but I wanted to ask you myself, why do you be playing games? Is it because of Jason?" She asked

"In all honesty I think he is part of the reason but I haven't informed anybody that I'm talking to Jason so I'm not letting Paul know that. I find it pointless to even tell him that because it's not the full reason I don't know the full reason, I'm trying to figure that out on my own."

"Hmm good luck with that" Jhanae said getting up about to leave
