"Hey, Shizi, you need to get up, kiddo. We need to get to training. You're going to train with everyone else today." Shizi's stormy grey eyes flutter open and sleep-glazed orbs floated around until she found the bright onyx eye of Kakashi about a foot away. The minimal amount of skin she could see wrinkled in a smile and a purr rumbled her chest as his fingers rubbed the base of her right ear.

"Kika, if you keep doing that, I won't ever get out of my bed." A rumbling in his chest told the brunette he was laughing and his hand left her ear in an incentive to get up and get dressed. When the silver haired Jonin left the room, Shizi stretched like a feline and bathed. She picked up her new outfit she bought and slipped it on.

The deep brown, tight-fitting tank top was covered partially by a chestnut, loose shirt with the top half falling off her shoulders. The shorts matched the tank top in color and ended higher up on her thighs. Bandages wrapped around her forearms and stopped in fingerless, black gloves with a pawprint on the back of her hand. Similar bandages started just below her knees and ran down into her black ninja sandals.

Shizi packed her weapons pouch and jumped rooftops towards the training ring. Her keen ears caught the sounds of someone coming from the left and she turned just in time to see bright orange before Naruto slammed into her and they both fall in a mass tangle to the dust in the center of the market district of Konoha.

Shizi sat up and shook her head free of ringing. She was balancing on one hand with the other held to her temple as she slowly slid her eyes open and was greeted with the familiar sight of clear, royal blue eyes that glinted with amusement.

"Deja vu, eh Shizi? I feel like we've been in this position before." A smile curved her lips and she pushed up into a complete sitting position. Shizi was sitting between his hips and the bottom of his ribs as she tapped her chin in mock remembrance.

"Now, where have we done this before..." A few citizens glared at the two as they passed by for disrupting the flow of traffic. The blonde Uzumaki laughed and lifted onto his elbows, a smirk twisting his lips to Shizi's left.

"Well, you can figure it out during training, Shizi! We're late, you know." The thin brunette waved him off dismissively.

"You already know Kika will be later than we will. Now shush yourself, I'm thinking." She stood and gave the blonde a hand up and they continued their trek to the training arena, laughing and joking with each other as they went.

As Shizi predicted, Kakashi was later than they were. The silver man had them mock fight each other. Sasuke vs Naruto and Sakura vs Shizi.

"This'll be much too easy, Shizi-chan." The said girl silently agreed and readied for her fight. The two boys were already bashing heads while Sakura seemed tentative and shy about fighting.

"Holy Hokage, Sakura! Do you plan on doing anything today? Just attack already!" She glared at her and drew a Kunai but held it defensively. Shizi rolled her eyes and drew five Shuriken for each hand.

"If you won't make the first move, I will." She launched the metal stars one at a time but in rapid succession. The pinkette dodged two and deflected the most fatal ones, the others barely scratching her skin. In that time frame of distraction, Shizi had drew three Kunai and launched two, aiming for her nerve bunches in her legs.

One of the two made contact and rendered the girl's right leg useless in any way, shape, or form. Sakura began to attack by throwing Shuriken at the girl she fought. Shizi quickly drew another Kunai and blocked before throwing the blade in her hand, catching Sakura in her left arm.

"I give!" Shizi sagged in disappointment and offered to help Sakura in fixing her limp body parts, to which she happily agreed.

"All you have to do is place your fingers below the cut and massage in a circular, counterclockwise motion alright?" Sakura nodded and Shizi worked on her arm and while watching the two boys still fighting.

Despite what Sasuke thinks, those two are pretty evenly matched in the determination and power factors. Sasuke had much better control and was quicker of course but he wasn't as far ahead of the Uzumaki as he thinks he is. That doesn't go to say that Naruto was horribly incapable of holding his own against Sasuke- but he surely wasn't ahead of the Uchiha.

Shizi was always on Sasuke's battle skill level. Had been since the day she arrived in Konoha. Whatever the ravenette could do, so could Shizi. As was their relationship- both pushed each other to try and outdo the other, thus bettering the two in ways they couldn't dream of doing alone.

The fight lasted a good ten minutes after Shizi's and Sakura's, Sasuke won but both were panting and sweating by the end. Kakashi called all of them to him and he handed them each a paper.

"What's this for, Kikashi Sensei?" Asked Sakura and Shizi lightly smiled in knowing.

"These are entry forms for the Chunin Exams." Sakura then had to explain what the Exams were to Naruto- who whooped in excitement and hugged the silver Sensei. When Kakashi handed Shizi her form she smirked and was tempted to hand it right back, him being her legal guardian and all.

"These are to be turned in by tomorrow morning. This is voluntary, I'm not forcing you to participate in the Exams." They all separated to ponder about joining the Chunin Exams on their own. Shizi already knew- join and become a Chunin, then one day a Jonin.

"Are you going to join, Shizi?" Asked Naruto as he walked her home, a notion he fervently insisted upon doing. She smiled and nodded while slipping the form into her Konoha Ninja headband that she had securely wrapped around her waist.

"Yep, gotta get Kika to sign the paper and I'm going to ace this!" The Uzumaki laughed and said goodbye to the blonde as she walked through the doorway into her living room. The silver Jonin was sitting on the couch, reading his Make-Out Paradise book again.

"Hey, Kika, you need to sign this so I can join the Chunin Exams." He held out his hand and she placed the paper on his open palm with a pen as well. He hesitated over the paper, his visible eye searching her eyes for falter.

"Are you sure you want to do this, Shizi?" She firmly nodded and a smile shifted his mask as he signed the consent form. He handed it back to her and his long fingers found the base of her cat ears. She crawled on the couch and curled up against his thigh happily, his thigh vibrating lightly as she purred.

"Well, I wish you the best of luck, Shizi." He whispered as she drifted off to sleep, curled up like the kitten she is at heart.

"Goodnight, Shizi-chan. We'll make it through the Exams, even if I have to carry you to the finish line myself. I love you."
