Two weeks from now is the final battles for the Chunin Exams, and Shizi felt unprepared to say the least. It's only been a few weeks since her release from the hospital, and she has no specific Sensei to teach her new Jutsu to use in her battle with her opponent. Shizi wanders around the village, bored out of her mind and itching to learn something new and powerful. The neko wasn't paying attention to where she was walking and so was knocked back and surprised.

"Watch where you walk, brat!" Snapped the person she slammed into, his purple painted face scrunched up with annoyance.

"Hello to you too, Kankuro." The said boy smirks and helps the brunette to her feet. "I'd expect you to be training around the clock with the upcoming Exam finals." Kankuro shrugged and dropped a package of cookies into his shopping bag that was about half full.

"Who's the cookies for?" Shizi asks while leaning to look inside the bag, catching a glimpse of the cookies, a few leeks, onions, and rice in a plastic package.

"Not you, that's who. I have to get back now so see ya at the finals." Kankuro walked away into the crowd, scaring himself when he glanced over to see Shizi walking alongside him, hands behind her back and and her stormy eyes looking around at the village everyday life.

"Do you just follow every stranger Shinobi home like a lost kitten?" Shizi shrugged and sped up a little to keep pace with the older boy's longer stride.

"I was bored and you seem like you attract trouble, so I figured why not tag along?" Kankuro lifted a painted brow in annoyance as he reached his destination, the hotel him and his siblings were staying for the Chunin Exams.

"Okay, well I'm here, no trouble, go home kid." The brunette neko slumped in defeat, ears lowered in rejection, and she slowly walks away. Kankuro sighs and trudged up to their room, to the kitchen, and drops his recently purchased goods in the counter.

"Where have you been all day?!" Screams Temari through the space, voice grating on his nerves as she did.

"Getting food, woman, shut up! It's not like you can cook so someone has to!" He skillfully dodges a flying sandal and flicks it to the wooden floor with a hollow thud.

"And she seemed like such a nice person." Kankuro jumps out of his skin at the voice of Shizi at the now open window.

"Son of a- What is wrong with you?! Didn't your parents teach you not to scare the life out of people?! Especially in their own homes!" Shizi didn't seem much affected by the teen's scolding, only sat in the windowsill and watched as he glared at her but resumed his previous work as cook.

"Don't put that in there, Kankuro. You'll ruin the taste." The said Genin brandished a wooden spoon at the neko.

"First you stalk me, then scare me, and now you tell me how to make my own dinner? You Hidden Leaf Shinobi are a weird bunch." Shizi tilted her head to her left as she watched the boy contemplate her advice about the spice he held.

"I'm not born here, you know. At least I don't think I am."

"Then where? Because if they're all like you I want to be sure to avoid that Land like the Plague."

"Not sure, I was given to Kandahar-Sensei at a young age. Don't even know who my parents are. Or what judging by my ears. Add in the ginger now or it won't flavor the broth enough." Kankuro mindlessly followed her order, catching himself just before he dropped the root into the water.

"Why am I listening to you?! You could very well be poisoning us!"

"Why would I do that? I don't fight dirty like that. It's dishonorable and cowardly." The puppet Shinobi seemed to accept her explanation and so dropped in the ginger as he was instructed.
