"So, Yasei, since you no longer have a village to return to, where do you plan to go?" Shizi asks as they step out of the doors of the hospital she was deposited in a few weeks earlier. The white headed female glances over at her as her canine ears flicked towards her voice. Both were still on the mends and so were told to stay away from overly physical activities, Shizi especially since they knew she had a habit of unintentionally seeking out the hardest training session she could.
"I'm not sure probably just wander around, and become a travelling Shinobi." Shizi slowly nodded as she thought, her ideas swirling around in her mind until she picked one she liked best.
"Why don't you just stay here? The Shinobi in Konoha are very strong, I'm sure we can help you fight whatever's hunting you." Yasei snorted in disdain and looked around at the peaceful village life around her.
"And what, become a flower shop keeper? Or a farmer?"
"I was thinking more along the lines of becoming a Konohagakure Shinobi, but if you want to sort flowers for the rest of your life be my guest." The doggish female gazes over at Shizi in surprise, she wants her to become a Shinobi of the Hidden Leaf?!
"Why would you want that? We hate each other, I nearly killed you in the Chunin Exams remember."
"That was ages ago, and that was because we both wanted to get better, so dislike was the best defence at the time. But things are different now."
"Different how?"
"We aren't fighting to become Chunin anymore, you need a place to stay, your skills would be wasted as a flower shop keeper, and I would like a new addition to my one-man platoon."
"One-man platoon?" Shizi nodded, completely oblivious to the look of almost amazement on the female's features.
"Travelling alone can get boring from time to time, it would be nice to have someone to talk to. So what do you think? Shopkeeper or Shinobi?" Yasei smirked at the female beside her, showing a sharpened canine tooth.
"Is there even a reason to ask? No way in hell I'm staying in some flower shop while you get all the fun." Shizi smiled and laughed at her comment as they turned a corner and she spotted Naruto standing with a white haired man she hasn't seen before. Shizi pulled Yasei along as she raced towards the blonde Uzumaki.
"Naruto! Where are you going?" The said boy smiled widely and introduced her to the white haired man.
"This is Pervy Sage! He's going to teach me some awesome new Jutsu! That means I'll be gone. But I'll be back in a few years!" The male reintroduced himself as Jiraiya the Mountain Sage, holding out his hand in greeting. Shizi hesitantly returned the gesture before turning back to Naruto.
"You're leaving? What about Team 7?"
"Team 7 will always be around, we're just trying something new."
"What about Kika?" Naruto smiled and placed his hand on her shoulder gently.
"He won't even have time to miss us, with you to watch over and all." This made them both laugh and look down at the ground, the snow having melted with the oncoming spring season.
"I guess all I have to say is I'll miss you and you have to promise that we'll see who's better when you get back." The Uzumaki boy laughed more and agreed to her terms before hesitantly removing his hand and turning away towards the gate of the village. He took a couple steps before whipping back around and spanning the distance with a single bound. One hand cupped her cheek while the other curved around her waist to pull her close as he kissed her passionately on the lips. Shizi took a second to register the action before she kissed back just as ferociously. They slowly pull apart breathlessly, faces still inches away.
"I'll always come back, believe it." She nodded and kissed him once more.
"I'll see you in two years." He sweetly smiled at her and she watched the two males trek away into the woods. She glances over to see Yasei smirking at her with amusement and knowing, making her blush and quickly glance away.
"What was that all about?" She ignored the girl by twirling the opposite way than where she was standing. She spotted a completely empty road to her left and she looks devilishly at the white haired female beside her.
"If you win, I'll tell you."
"And if I lose?" Shizi smirked deeply and darkly, giving the other neko a shiver down her spine.
"You'll have to lose to find out. Do we have a deal?" They silently readied for their race, simultaneously breaking into a lightning speed sprint. Shizi looked over to see Yasei perfectly equal with her pace. Her pale headed opponent glances over to see her challenger as well, and so they both failed to see the two boys step out of the side alleyway into the road, smashing into them and all four rolling down the dirt track with audible sounds of discomfort. As soon as they stopped rolling, both Shizi and Yasei sat up to check for ripped stitches.
"What's with all the speed? Is something on fire or what?" Snapped Kiba from his place beneath Yasei, the boy becoming completely enamored with the girl straddling his chest. She flicked her white hair from her dog ears and looked down to apologize to the boy she ran into, but became just as fascinated by the boy below her.
"Yeah, I thought you were supposed to be taking it easy. I highly doubt Kakashi would categorize a race as light." Retorts Shikamaru under Shizi as she flipped her cat ears free from her thick hair.
"It is light, we were moving our legs not our arms. Not our fault you two jumped in our way. I was winning too." She stood and helped Shikamaru to a stand, the starstruck duo numbly following behind them. They started to circle each other while lightly sniffing to catch the other's scent. Once they memorized how the other smelled, they stopped and stepped intimately close to one another, neither saying a word.
"What are they doing?" Asks Shizi as they watched the two run an ancient ritual it seemed only they knew. Shikamaru watched the two canine-esque Shinobi as they stare each other down.
"I think they're asserting dominance of sorts right now. Like a weird greeting I guess. Either that or it's a mating ritual." Shizi looked disgusted and punched the Nara teen on his shoulder as he chuckled at her reaction.
"Hi, I'm Kiba Inuzuka." The boy broke the silence finally after almost five minutes of utter silence.
"Yasei Okami." He looked her over while swiftly running his tongue over his bottom lip.
"It's been nice to meet you, Yasei Okami. I'll see you around." Kiba winked at the neko girl and both boys vanished as quickly as they appeared. Yasei turned to see Shizi mirroring her amused smirk she had at the gate with Naruto.
"What was the all about?" Yasei blushed lightly at her own words being turned on her.
"Just saying hello is all." Shizi hummed- a habit she picked up from Kakashi- and walked down the road they were racing on, the girl following her in protests. They reached an empty arena and Shizi turned to Yasei with yet another smirk.
"Alright, since you're going to be on my platoon, you should meet the other members." Yasei looked around at the barren arena, other members?
"What other members? There's nobody here."
"Well duh, they have to be summoned." Shizi Retorts and steps a few feet from the female, who had just realized what she said.
"Wait, did you just say summoned?!"
