"Kakashi, what you're requesting permission for is suicide! That girl can very well be anywhere outside of the borders!" The said male was standing in the Hokage's office to ask for sanctity to track down Shizi after the Hebi Clan kidnapped her from his hospital room not 10 minutes prior.

"That girl is named Shizi, and she is a Shinobi of this village!"

"She is expendable, I've read her file, nothing of importance really." Rage marred his mask and filled his normally distant eye at Tsunade's harsh words. Without thinking, he slammed his hands on the wooden desk with a loud bang, scaring her small assistant and the pet pig.

"She is not expendable, she is important to this village, important to me." His voice was scarily calm and low, every fiber of his being screaming to rip everything apart with his bare hands until he got her back.

"You will not speak to me that way, Kakashi Hatake. As your Hokage, the search for this single, unnecessary girl will be wasteful of time and resources."

"You obviously haven't read the entire file, have you? The notes at the bottom. That small, unnecessary girl has the most dangerous and destructive force this world has ever seen hidden inside her, not to mention being the only living Shinobi who hasn't gone completely insane from Jingxiao. And if you don't let me go find her, she will be used as a weapon in the hands of assassins! They will turn her against the Hidden Leaf and nobody can stop her." Tsunade leaned towards the man, glaring into his eye with her own cocoa brown orbs.

"Why do you care for her so deeply? What could she possibly mean to you that you are willing to throw your life away looking for a girl who might be dead?"

"I don't have to explain that to you, Lady Hokage."

"Then there is no point to this conversation and no point to agreeing to your request." Tsunade nodded to Shizune, her assistant, whom drew acupuncturist needles and launched them to the Jonin to render him immobile until pushed out of the office. He never glanced at her but raised his hand to snatch the needles from the air and launch them back, pinning her to the wall by her kimono.

"Either you give me the permission I'm requesting, or I will leave and find her without it. Either way, I will find Shizi."

"I will grant it to you once you answer my questions, Hatake. What is a cat-like freak-"

"Shizi is not a freak and you will not speak of my daughter like that!" Tsunade smirked in triumph and sat back in her chair while crossing her arms over her large chest.

"So, she's your daughter? Your file says nothing about children. And her file says she came here an orphan. It seems the 3rd Hokage lied in her forms."

"He didn't lie, she came here an orphan from the Land of Horses. The 3rd Hokage assigned me to be her caretaker. What have you got against her anyway, if it were any other missing Genin you wouldn't hesitate to send out a search-and-rescue squad."

"There are hard times, yes, with the village still rehabilitating from the Chunin Exams invasion, but we aren't in such rough times to need someone who puts a bad image on this village in our ranks."

"You're murdering my daughter because you want to look good?! She is a fine Shinobi and just because she looks different than you doesn't make her a scapegoat. Are you going to do the same to Naruto because of what's inside him?! Do you really want to be remembered at the Hokage that slaughtered children?" They had a long moment of daggering glares to see who will break first and submit.

"You're lucky I'm feeling generous today, Kakashi, or I might've had you arrested for insubordination. Take Naruto, Shikamaru, and Neji. Leave." Without any words, the angry Kakashi vanished from sight.

"Why were you so mean to him, Lady Tsunade? He just wanted to find his daughter. And he used to be ANBU Black Ops, he could've killed you in a second." Asks Shizune as she releases herself from the wall. Tsunade folded her hands and rested her chin on it broodingly.

"I felt like he needed to be tested, he's going to have it rough in the future with Shizi under his care. I was ensuring he was willing to stay by her side no matter what happens nor who said it. They need each other, whether they know it or not."

"But did you really have to use such rude words?"

"In the years to come, those words will be sweet compliments to them."

Kakashi wasted no time in getting his rescue squad together and leaving the village. They started off in silence, the boys wary and courteous to the anger emitting off the Jonin in droves and waves.

"So, what exactly are we doing, Kakashi-Sensei?" Naruto ventures to finally ask after almost 30 maddeningly quiet minutes.

"We are tracking and rescuing Shizi. She was taken by the Hebi Clan and ran out of the borders." Naruto nearly fell from the trees, saved by Neji with a unamused sigh.

"She was kidnapped?! When?"

"This morning. That's why we need to hurry, they could be anywhere outside of the borders." Stopping for a second, Kakashi summoned his best tracking hound and close friend, Pakkun. The dog burst into existence and immediately kept pace with the Copy Ninja.

"It's been a while, Kakashi. What do you need this time? Who am I looking for?"

"You remember Shizi? She's gone missing and I need you to track her. She was taken by the Hebi Clan." Pakkun was instantly alert for danger and her scent. They were following her so he figured he would be needed after the borders.

"The Hebi Clan? You know what could happen. Not to her but to you, Kakashi." He nodded, he knew very well the possibilities of his return to that mansion. But this was his daughter, and he was willing to chance it for her.

"What could happen to you, Kakashi-Sensei? What's Pakkun talking about?" Wonders Naruto again, voicing the question of all three boys he lead.

"During my days with the ANBU Black Ops, I did many unspeakably horrid things. One was the capture and execution of the head Hebi Clansmen. After his death, every member of that Clan vowed to avenge their leader. My return to retrieve Shizi could very well end with me being killed."

"Then why go at all? If you could die there, why not send another in your place?" Wonders the ever-logical Neji, his pale lavender eyes looking over at the Jonin in curiosity. When the Hyuga boy was told he was going on this mission, he was curious as to why he would be needed and what the mission was truly about. Logic told him he was needed to scout for dangers using his Byuakugan, but he couldn't think of what the mission was for, he certainly didn't think it would be to save a Konoha Shinobi who has been kidnapped by the brutish and bloodthirsty Hebi Clan.

"Because Shizi is my charge, and I promised to always look out for her. And if that means dying to get her out of the influence of evil men like the Hebi Clan, then so be it."
