I'm late :/
Four chapters ago, I asked you to pick some numbers, and you did. Now, if you picked 27, you are a WINNER. YAY!! Lol, that's all.
Zuri
Every day seems to be a test. Marley is supposed to be my person, but I can't even look at her. I know I shouldn't blame all of what Vicky does on her, but I don't know. This is all so much worse than last year.
The only upside is Roman. I love having him here. He bought the lease out on his place, and I put him on mine, so we're officially roommates now. He's so gentle and loving. I find myself wanting more of him, even if it's just a glance or shared space.
We've been having more moments like last night.
I know I shouldn't have snoozed my alarm clock. I just wanted him to hold me longer. Good thing we live a little close to school, Roman doesn't like being late, he'll furrow his brows until we get to our destinations.
We sat in the taxi side by side, just three blocks away from school. Luckily, our driver had some urgency. Ro makes a pout face at the sight of any inconvenience; it must be a West Coast thing.
When the taxi pulled in front of Juilliard, I slid out of the back seat, and Roman paid for our drive, thanking him.
Having a decent driver is nice, especially in the morning. I started walking ahead of him, eager to find warmth. We made it just in time for me to stretch with ten minutes to spare.
Rehearsal might not start for another fifteen minutes. Too many people to tame, plus some of the girls don't live so close anymore, including Mrs. Lane, and waking up at four to leave at five and arrive around seven is too much calculating even for me.
"Hey! Why do you have to walk so fast?" Roman jogs up from behind me, yawning and trying to catch his breath.
"You were supposed to wait."
He is so cute, I can't help but blush.
"Come on, old man." He raises a brow and opens the door for me. He takes my hand in his, and we head up to class.
We take the same path through the musical hall, up the stairs, and down the long hall, making it to the big classroom.
Everyone's gossiping about and fooling around; you could tell Mrs. Lane was running behind.
We make our way to the piano. It's the new spot. I gave up the little window nook after Marley left. It's Reba and Janisha's now.
Roman leads me behind the piano and takes my bags, setting them on top.
I'm trying to pretend everyone's not staring.
I got my leg warmers and ditched my skirt, and immediately started stretching. A few students began with me, and soon everyone was entering the class and getting themselves ready.
Upon the crowd dispersal, I thought I saw Marley.
I look up to get a better glance, and I'm right! She's hidden behind a rack of performance tutus. She's having a heated discussion with someone I can't see.
I got up to walk out of class to finally see all the way at the end of the hall.
She and Vicky hid behind our performance clothes. I could barely hear them. But from the look on Marley's face, it doesn't look good.
.
.
This might get crazy.
Any Thoughts??
See you later :3
