Chapter T H R E E

I play soccer afterschool with the rest of the girls team in our soccer field. I dribbled the ball around, when the girl from the other team came and took it from me. She was getting closer to the goal. I ran to her, soon catching upto her, she lost balance of the ball, and I took it off of her. I passed it to the midfielder and she took it dribbling it around, soon passing it on the striker, the striker got closer to the goal then, she kicked it in the goal. The ball missing the goal keeper's hands by just a little bit, getting into the goal.

Cheers were heard as the girl who scored the goal smiled over at the other girls, high fiving a few of them. I went over to the bench, "hey Sammy, I need a break, you wanna go and play for me?" I said to her and she smiled and went over to the field.

I sat down on the bench breathing heavily. I took a bottle of water then gulped the water down, relaxing a bit. My elbows were on my knees and I was watching the game furiously. Observing everyones skills.

I felt someone sit beside me. It was Ryan who sat next to me because I saw him when I looked over at who it was, "out of detention?" I asked him as I took another sip of the water.

"Yeah, finally" he replied and watched me closely. Why was he watching me? I'm not a video game that you stare at the screen so closely, thinking it's so interesting.

I nodded then focused back on the game, "you're really good" he said. I looked back at him and raised an eyebrow, "What? I'm serious"

"Thanks, I guess" he poked my side and I yelped. I looked at him weirdly, and he smiled, laughing a bit, "What was that for?"

"I don't know?" He poked me again and I jumped up. I giggled a little as he laughed.

"Stop that" I said while smiling. He shrugged, "I'm going, bye"

"Bye" he chuckled. I grabbed my back and my bottle. Before leaving, an idea came into my head. I creeped up behind Ryan, but not before opening the cap of my water bottle. I raised the bottle above his, then I turned it upside down, making the water splash down on him. I laughed then ran away without looking back at him. Oh my god, that was hilarious.

When I was out of the school, I looked around to make sure that Ryan wasn't anywhere to be seen. I sighed in relief when he wasn't there. Home was like five minutes away, but I was too tired to walk there. I sat on the bench of the bus stop, waiting for the bus.

The bus would probably arrive in a minute, so I just relaxed with the time I had. I closed my eyes and let out a breathe. I felt a hot breathe near my shoulder and my eyes snapped open. I looked back and saw nothing there. What the hell?

I turned back around and, "BOO!" Ryan yelled as he was crouched down infront of me. I screamed then smacked him in the head, "ow!" He rubbed his head, "What was that for?!"

"For scaring me! You could've given me a heart attack!"

"Yeah but, that was hilarious"

"No, it wasn't, shut up"

"No really, it was funny" he said as he laughed even more.

"Why are you here?"

"Way to be rude"

"I don't care, just tell me, did you just come here to scare me?"

"No, I came here for the bus, then I saw you and I wanted to get revenge for you did"

"Don't you drive?"

"My car has some issues so it's getting fixed right now"

I nodded as he sat down beside, putting his arm around the bench, behind me. I shifted around a little bit. I noticed the bus coming from far ahead. It soon arrived and we got up off the bench. I waited for him to get inside the bus because he was infront of me, but he moved aside, "ladies first" he gestured for me to go in first, I gave him a classic fake-smile and went inside.

**(Skip 2 minute bus drive)**

I got up from the seat of the bus to leave because my house arrived, "See ya Melissa, I'll probably call you later"

"See ya, wait, how do you have my number?"

"I have my ways" he smirked. I rolled my eyes then left the bus to go inside my house. I unlocked the door and went inside, "Honey, I'm home!" I spread my arms out and my parents laughed at me and I smiled.
