I finished getting ready for school and then I heard my mum scream. I rushed to the living room where she was with dad, but looking shocked, "Woah woah woah! Is everything alright?" I noticed my mum holding a letter in her hand.
"Yes! Everything is fine!" My mum said with a smile on her face.
"Then why in the world did you scream?"
"The letter" she said and I raised my eyebrows at my mum, "it's the letter, from Melbourne University" she said handing me the letter.
"Oh my god it came!" I applied to go to Melbourne University because it's one of the best in Victoria and I wouldn't have etc change countries or something.
"Open it!" My dad urged. I ripped open the letter and briefly read it,
Dear Melissa Kameron,
We received your application form for joining the Melbourne University. We would like to thank you for sending it to us and we were pleasured to see it. We were very impressed by what we saw in the application.
From what we saw you are a very good student and we would love to have a person like you in our University.
We would like to inform that you have been accepted to the Melbourne University, congratulations.
20th September 2015.
Melbourne University
I looked up at my parents, "what happened?" My dad asked eagerly.
"I got in....." I said, my smile growing wider, "I got in!" I cheered. My parents hugged me and we all cheered on. It had been my dream to get into Melbourne University and now that I got in....it's shocking and amazing!
"You better go to school, don't want to be late!" My mum said with the widest smile ever. I nodded and left the house. I am finally relieved.
***(at lunch)***
I saw Ryan, David and Graham together talking and so I went up to them cheering, "it's got accepted! I got accepted! I got accepted!" I danced around.
They looked at me weirdly then Ryan spoke up, "Got accepted for what?"
"Melbourne Univer-" I was about to say the name but I was cut off by Marilyn.
"I got accepted! I got accepted! I got accepted!" Se cheered and danced around while coming towards us.
"For what?" David asked her.
"Melbourne Uni-" Marilyn was about to say but she got cut off by Hanah.
"I got accepted! I got accepted! I got accepted!" She cheered and danced as well while coming towards us.
"University?" Graham asked her.
"Melbourne University!" She said. Oh my god! All us girls will be in the same university! This is so exciting!
"Me too!" I exclaimed and Marilyn said the same. We jumped around with huge smiles. It had been my dream to go to the same university as my friends so we wouldn't separate, and now it's actually happening!
"Hold up!" David said and we stopped jumping around like little kids, "they accepted you girls but they didn't accept us guys?" He said and I frowned.
"Wait, you all applied and they didn't accept you?" I asked him.
"We all applied and all three of us got put in the waiting list. Looks like they accept girls but not guys"
"Oh my god! You all applied too?"
"Isn't that what I said?"
"Why'd you get put in the waiting list?"
"I have no idea. They just told us that if someone leaves or possibly gets kicked out, we would be their next option"
"Oh well, good luck to you boys but us girls are already accepted!" I said in their faces. Oh this is just wonderful.
