On Graduation Day (Melissa's dress is above) it's a long one guys.
It's happening....it's happening.....it's happening.
I received a phone call so I picked it up, "hello?" I spoke.
"Hey Melissa!" I heard Bryan's voice.
"Hey Bryan!"
"I'm so sorry I couldn't attend your graduation"
"No, no its okay! I understand, you have your own graduation today as well, wouldn't want you missing out on it" surprisingly, we had our graduation on the same day and we couldn't attend one another's graduation.
"Alright, well, good luck with your speech, babe"
"Thanks Bryan, good luck with everything"
"Thanks, I'll take to you later, bye"
"Bye" I said and cut the phone call. I put my phone in the pocket of my dress. It was a beautiful white dress then went up mid-thigh and it's sleeves ended at my shoulder.
I saw my parents coming towards me. I smiled at them and gave them both a hug, "Hi honey! Are you excited?" My mum asked excitedly.
"Of course I am, mum. It's my graduation, why wouldn't I be excited?"
"Okay, you have your speech ready?"
"Yep, it's just here...." I dug my hands in my pockets. The only thing I could feel was my phone. I dug in deeper, but there was no paper, "Oh my god!"
"What? What's wrong?" My dad asked.
"My speech" my eyes were wide right now.
"What happened to your speech?"
"It gone! It's not here!" I panicked. I looked around hopelessly, thinking that it'll all of a sudden appear infront of my face. But that wasn't going to happen.
"Go find it!" My dad rushed me to go and find it. Wow, no help? Thanks so much mum and dad!
I ran, rushing past people, giving them an apology after hitting every single one of them. They all replied with a glare.
I went to my parents' car, thank god my dad gave me the car keys so I could check in or else I would have to run back in and find it again.
I opened the door and looked everywhere, it wasn't there. Nowhere. How embarrassing would it be to go up on the stage when I'm called for a speech and I don't have anything.
I slammed the car door shut and started panicking. Oh no, oh no, oh no. Where could it be?
I rushed towards some place around the hall, I didn't even know where I was going. I don't think I was looking where I was going because I bumped hard into someone. I'm sure that every student here
I looked up to see Graham, "hello" he said while smiling.
"Look, I'm sorry but I don't have time for this. I've got to look for my-"
"Your graduation speech?" He cut me off.
"How did you-"
"Here" he cut me off again by digging into his pockets and bringing out my speech and handing it to me, "I found it on the floor next to bathroom in the hall"
"Oh, thank you so much!" I exclaimed and gave him a quick hug.
"Good luck" he said as I turned to leave. I returned a smile and left.
