I've been trying to think of something to write for my speech. It was really hard, plus there was so much pressure on me that there were going to be so many people watching. I was responsible for this. I didn't want to make a stupid speech infront of so many parents and families.
I needed help, from Graham. The only from Graham is because he once got a best speech award in a debate out of everyone and it was against another state, that could help, right?
I called him over and he was already here in 5 minutes, "it's not that hard, you know?" He said. Says the guy who won the best speech award.
"Not that hard? My brain is hurting because I've been thinking for hours now! Nothing is coming to me!" I shouted in frustration.
"Okay, first, calm down" he said when I started breathing heavily.
"How the hell do you expect me to calm down?!" I yelled as I moved my hands in gestures, "do you have any idea how much pressure there is on me?! I am so fucking frustrated right now!" I said continuing to move my hands around in gestures.
He immediately grabbed my wrists which stopped me, "Melissa! Stay calm. Keep your mind out of any thoughts" he slowly started to calm me down.
"Okay, I'm calm" I said when I knew that I was actually calm.
"Now, do you know what you are supposed write about in your speech?" He asked as he slowly started to let go of my wrists.
"Nope" I said honestly.
"Okay, the main things you need to write about are..........." he started talking about what I should write about but I went completely out of thought. I wasn't even listening honestly.
I was to busy wondering about what people would think about my speech.
What if they don't like it?
What if they don't understand what I'm trying to say?
What if I miss some information?
What if it all goes wrong?!
"Melissa!" He snapped which caught me back to his attention, "were you even listening?"
"Yes, yes I was" I lied.
"What did I say?" I didn't reply to him, instead I just stayed silent, so he spoke again, "you weren't listening" he said, "this is going to be a long day"
Filter chapter, sorry guys, but, graduation for Melissa is coming up and I want to make her speech as good and professional as possible. At first I wasn't planning on writing the part about her graduation but then I saw a video where a kid gave a great speech about schooling and education and how important it is but kids these days don't appreciate it, and I was inspired. That's why I wanted to write the graduation part and give her a speech to say.
