Soooo... I'm back?
For further explanation, I've been thinking recently about Broken and its sequel, and neither have left my mind like at all.
I decided to reread my fanfiction because in case you didn't know, I wrote it 6+ years ago when I was 14, and holy shit.
If I could go back and change a few things, I'd tell my 14-year-old self to think about the story's timeline and basically everything else too.
I realized while rereading that the entire timeline of Broken is just weird.
For example, I skipped a lot of things, like Elle and Kai's time in the prison worlds and several years in the epilogues, and I heavily regret it. Because in doing this, it makes Elle and Kai's relationship feel so rushed, and I hate that.
Also I was 14 when I wrote it, and I didn't really know how some things worked, so there's that.
Basically, I'd like to rewrite/edit Broken, and that's why I'm here.
I originally wanted to edit this story itself, but this story is gold, and I don't want to ruin its originality.
Just comment if you'd like me to create a 'separate' story that is the revised version!
On a separate note, you guys are probably wondering why I mentioned the sequel.
And to that I say: that is also why I'm here.
I want to revise/edit Broken so that I can be fully prepared to start working on the sequel. The revised version will include edits on existing chapters, brand new chapters, and timeline edits (based off of all the epilogues, Kai and Elle should be in their mid 30's by the end of Broken, but I don't like that lol so I'm changing it).
I originally didn't plan for a sequel for Broken (that's why there are such large time jumps in the epilogues), and when I did eventually post the first few chapters of the sequel, I changed my mind and deleted them.
If any of you remember those chapters, I'm terribly sorry because I am not able to get those back. If you remember the base plot line though, then you're in luck. The sequel will still follow the intended plot line (not stating this plot line for the surprise), but it will be rewritten because those original chapters were deleted.
Besides the 8000+ word chapter that was just smut if any of you remember...
That chapter is lying within the depths of my notes app.
Anyways, I can't give an exact timeline because I just started back up with college, but I will start working on the revised version ASAP, and I'll keep you all updated.
