It's A Turning Point

"What?"

Every single word that just came out of Kai's mouth has sent me into a state of confusion. Bonnie hasn't said a word either, so I'm guessing she's just as confused.

I mean, how is that even possible? How could I take someone's magic away?

"Do you have trouble comprehending every word I say?" Kai asks. I roll my eyes.

"Do you really think we're just going to believe you like that? Taking away someone's magic is nearly impossible." Bonnie explains.

"You and I both know that's not true." He smirks.

"I don't get how that's possible. I did almost the exact same spell I did on Luke and Liv," I state. "I know Brandon is, I mean was, more powerful than Luke and Liv ever were, but I don't get how I could've taken his magic away. He was more powerful than me." Kai just chuckles and shakes his head.

"Wow, you really are stupid." Kai remarks.

"That makes two of us." I mutter to myself. Next thing I know, Kai has his hand around my throat, pinning me against the fridge.

I can see Bonnie's worried face. I know she wants to do something, but Kai could kill us both with a snap of his fingers. She can't risk that.

Kai's hand slides up from my throat to grip my jaw, turning my head to face him.

"What did you just say?" Kai asks in a whisper. I go to open my mouth, but Kai just shakes his head. He leans towards me, his nose just barely brushing against mine.

"I am so close to killing you, Elle. One more strike, you're out." He whispers. I smile at him.

"If I can take away your brother's magic, I can do a hell of a lot worse to you." I whisper. If I'm completely honest, I could never hurt Kai.

"Leave, Kai," I state. "We don't want you here." The corners of his lips twist down for about a millisecond before they go back in a straight line.

"I'll be back, Elle. And when I am, you better be fucking prepared." He whispers before he's suddenly gone. I wrap my hand around my throat, massaging it.

Bonnie runs up to me and grabs my shoulders.

"Oh my God, Elle. Are you okay?" She asks with concern in her voice. I nod.

"I've been better, but I'm not going to whine and cry about everything that is happening right now. That's what he wants. He wants to feel like he's the higher power. I guess I'll have to show him what happens when he waltzes in here, expecting fear and causing damage. I'm going to get that arrogant son of a bitch back." I rant. Bonnie has a proud look on her face.

"How are you going to find him, though?" She asks. I chuckle.

"He thinks he's so smart. He told me he'll be back which means that he'll be in the house tonight most likely," I reply, looking over at the clock. "It's 4:07 a.m. Yeah, around nighttime." Bonnie has a surprised look on her face.

"How do you know all of that?" She asks, as we start heading out of the kitchen and back up the stairs.

"He's the love of my life, B. I know his next move before he's even thought about it."

Me and Bonnie both went back to bed afterwards. Well, she did. I couldn't even close my eyes. I have trouble going to bed when the gears in my head are working at 100 miles per hour.

I would say everything that happened had me in a daze, but it didn't. I've seen several things in my life, including Kai without his humanity. It's not like it's something I enjoy, though. Of course it isn't. Kai without his humanity wrecks me. Which leaves me to my next cluster of incessant thoughts.
