I Love You, You Love Me

I can't stop the thoughts from rushing through my head.

Why does Kai want to go back to the prison world?

He was there for eighteen years, why go back?

Kai puts his foot on the brake, pulling me out of my thoughts and slowly making a right turn. The road he turns on is empty. It's just pure nature left and right.

After a few minutes on this road, he turns off on a secluded gravel road. When he pulls up to a space in the woods, I see a few people around. I can't really get out of the car myself, considering I'm tied up.

It's four people: three girls, one guy. Kai stops the car and gets out. He goes to stand near his friends, telling them the plan, I assume. At this point, I don't care how they got out. I just want to know if this is actually happening.

I turn around in the passenger seat, seeing my phone in the backseat. I shift in my seat, moving my tied hands to unbuckle my seatbelt. I look at the people standing in front of the car before I shift my weight onto the console, moving myself back until I fall in the backseat.

I see one of the heretics point at me, so I grab my phone quickly. I try to turn it on, but it's powered off.

I need to hurry.

"C'mon, c'mon." I whisper to myself. As I turn it on, I type in my password. Before I hit the messages button, I look up.

Kai's gone from the group.

The car door opens, and Kai grabs my arm, pulling me out.

"I need to let them know I'm okay, please." I whimper, but Kai rips the phone out my hand, breaking it with his own strength.

"You are coming to the prison world with me. Whether you like it or not." He growls. He walks me towards the group. He motions towards a brunette and a blonde.

"This is Nora." Kai states. The brunette waves. Kai points to the blonde next to her.

"That's Mary Louise. Nora and Mary Louise are kind of a thing." He explains. "This is Beau. He can't speak."

He's acting as if he didn't kidnap me.

Kai walks over to the last woman. She has dirty blonde hair, she holds her head down. She looks upset. Like she doesn't want to be here. I can't blame her.

I don't want to be here either.

"This is Valerie." Kai says. Valerie looks up at me and gives me a quick nod, but she steps back when I take a step towards her.

"Everyone remember the plan?" Kai asks. He grabs me and takes me to stand in the middle of everyone.

Nora, Mary Louise, Valerie, and Beau create a circle around me. I see some of them share smiles.

I'm confused.

Kai unties my hands but keeps a tight grip on me, not allowing me to run.

I wouldn't try to run anyways. I don't even know where we are.

The heretics start to recite a spell, making Kai look up.

"Wait. That's not the sp-" He's cut off as we get swept back to the familiar place of the 1994 prison world.

I sit up in the familiar empty Salvatore living room. We're actually here. I look over at Kai who's sitting up as well. I stand up and walk over to him, reaching out my hand to help him up. He grabs it and stands up.
