Canis Encephalitis
(C.E.)
Canis Encephalitis, better known as "Canine's Disease" is a rapid onset disease that affects the brain and swells it. This disease was first recorded in 1889 when a werewolf was bitten by a rabid wolf. The disease itself is essentially rabies for shifters which affects a PureBlood werewolf above all else. This disease is incurable, and rare, and has a 94% death rate.
C.E. is a natural occurring disease that forms in the salivary glands and can only spread through bites. Once introduced in to the bloodstream it mimics cells, infects the brain, and causes the following:
•Hallucinations
•Extreme aggression
•Seizures
•Severe headaches/migraines
•Severe dehydration
•Personality changes
•Severe confusion
•Loss of control in limbs/sight/and hearing
•Death
Lupine Identity Disorder
(LID)
This mental health condition has a very large spectrum of symptoms. This condition may cause someone to experience a split from their animalistic side to the point of them being two separate entities in the same body. This is considered a multiple personality disorder that can be treated through medication. There are some individuals who might have more than one personality which can either split from themselves or their animalistic side to take on a new alter.
Symptoms include the following:
•Sudden and abrupt changes in personality.
•Dissociation/amnesia between shifts
•Changes in voice, physical features, and in rare cases muscle tissue or bone mass.
•Unwarrented shifts
•Completely separate personalities that are individual.
It is often uncommon for anyone with this diagnosis to form another "alter" beyond that of the separate personality of their animalistic side.
Metalloactive Sepsis
This is an infection of the blood that can affect any shifter/vampire that is introduced to the purest of their metallic weaknesses (Silver, iron, pure copper, and gold). Even though this can be completely cured it can still cause the following:
•Extreme pain to the joints
•Heart palpitations
•Confusion
•Forceful transformation from septic shock
•Deliruim
•Death
Lunar Deficiency
This auto immune disorder only affects those who are PureBlood werewolves or lycans. It is extremely common to see among Omega born wolves but essentially instead of being boosted by the moon the opposite is done. When a full moon occurs those with lunar deficiency tend to be weaker or they are fully unable to shift. Some of the symptoms are the following:
(Only occurs under a full moon)
•Weakness in limbs
•Fatigue
•Nausea/Vomiting
•Unable to access wolf
•Unable to form a mindlink, even with a mate.
