•Prologue•
* March 8, 2005 *
I watch from the window as the brown haired boy tosses the ball to the yellow haired one.
It hits him in the mouth.
He begins crying.
A tall lady hurries from the house connected to the lawn they are playing at. Her breath is quick and she is looking hard at the cut.
She stares real hard at the yellow haired boy's mouth, putting her fingers against where the ball hit.
I laugh. They go inside.
I always imagined that ball, the same red and green ball they played with every day would be made of soft plastic. One that at first sight, could almost pass as a real ball like the big kids use, but I would never know for sure because I was never invited to play.
Although, I didn't mind.
Giggling, I go to play with the paper dolls I had drawn.
I end up tearing a doll on accident.
After some time I feel my breath grow a little heavy as I look through the window over my shoulder.
I just didn't understand.
I was about the same age as those boys. I should be outside playing. I should have friends. I should have my mommy and my daddy.
Right?
So what was so wrong with me?

"And when the kids on the street say
' What's your problem, girl?'
And the weight of their smile's just
Too much for you to bear
When they all make you feel
Like you're a problem girl
Remember
You're no problem at all
You're no problem at all"

Author's Note:
Okay so this idea came to me while jamming. The song I based my idea off of is the chorus of Problem Girl by Rob Thomas. Listen to it if you haven't already.
This prologue portion is merely a flashback though, and the whole entire story takes place in real time of course. There will be a few more flashbacks throughout the story that kind of give you a feel on what Lola's life was like up until present time.
I find this to be more intense than Class Rebels so I hope you guys love it.
