Chapter 36 The Pandemonium of Asuka Langley Shikinami, Phase 2: Fall

Game Over!

Touji:"Shit!"

Kensuke:"I told you, you should have gotten that key item. The Orc Boss has a healing potion, you should have bought the seeking arrows to destroy it's potion"

Touji grumps in disappointment, he and Kensuke are at the arcade right now. They have been playing games after getting out of school, these last few months have been eventful. Tokyo-3 was almost destroyed by a massive snow storm from Coral Island that started because of the Herrscher of Ice. Schicksal manages to kill the Herrscher and stop the situation from getting worse.

Even though the world was saved, Kensuke would tell Touji that it's far from over, Kensuke ruined that slight relief that everything ended well. The jock also notices that Kensuke has been down ever since Asuka was in a coma, Touji often caught a glimpse of Kensuke staring at the empty seat where Asuka used to sit.

Touji:"I have been wanting to ask you Kensuke..."

Kensuke grabs a water bottle and drinks.

Kensuke:"Hmmm?"

Touji:"Are you interested in Asuka?"

Upon hearing those words Kensuke spits out water.

Kensuke:"Pfffffffff!*Cough**Cough*W-what?!"

He asks with a shocked expression on his face, Touji then asks him again.

Touji:"Are you interested in her?"

Kensuke adjusted his glasses and he calmed himself, he then responded to his friend's question.

Kensuke:"It's not that I like her, sure she is beautiful. But, I'm worried for her..."

Touji couldn't help but to raise an eyebrow as he looked at Kensuke.

Kensuke:"Even though she always seems pissed off all time, but she looks lonely"

The jock was intrigued by what his friend said and he asked him.

Toji:"What do you mean by that?"

Kensuke:"It sort of reminds me of when we met Shinji, I could tell that he felt alone. But with Asuka it was harder to see at first, but as time went on I could see cracks in the mask that she put for others, that is why I want to help her"

Citizen:"AHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Civilians run away from what they were seeing, Asuka Langley Shikinami is seen stabbing a doctor multiple times with a scalpel. Many dead bodies can be seen around the area, obviously killed by Asuka, she looked around her as Police cars arrived at the entrance of the hospital.

A police officer takes aim at Asuka.

Officer:"Don't move!"

Asuka throws the scalpel at the officer's hand.

Officer:"Gah!"

As the man screams in pain, as he drops his gun. Asuka runs and grabs it and shoots the officer. She then proceeds to kill every last one of them.

???:"Not good enough, you have to do better"

The voice in the back of her head spoke and Asuka screamed.

Asuka:"Shut Up! I'll prove it! I'LL PROVE THAT I'M GOOD ENOUGH!"

She then continues on her rampage...

Elsewhere

Misato is seen with Kaji in her car driving towards where Asuka is rampaging. They have heard through Nerv Headquarters that Asuka is going on a murder spree, she didn't want to believe it at first, but when footage was sent to her, she was shocked at the bloodshed Asuka was unleashing.

Misato:"Just what the hell is happening to Asuka?!"

Kaji:"The Shikinami series was never this unstable, but that strength..."

A while back when they were looking at the footage of the Hospital's cameras, they noticed that Asuka for some unknown reason has superhuman strength and speed.

Misato:"I don't know what is going on with Asuka, but we need to stop her!"

Toji and Kensuke are seen running away from the chaos, a few minutes earlier they have heard the screams and the police sirens, they realised that whatever is going on is near where they were...

Toji:"Just what the hell is going on?!"

Kensuke:"How the hell am I supposed to know?!"

They kept running, until they stopped at what they saw or rather who they saw...

Kensuke:"Asuka?"

Asuka is seen standing still, Kensuke slowly approaches her.

Kensuke:"Asuka, are you alright?"

Toji then took notice that there was blood in her hands, a dark realization hit him.

Kensuke:"Asuka?"

Toji:"Kensuke, wait!"

Then Asuka swung her knife at Kensuke, he was able to react quick enough to avoid the knife. The girl looked at him with a mad look on her face, she has lost all reason.

Asuka:"You are mocking me! LIKE EVERYONE!"

Kensuke:"Asuka wait!"

Asuka swings her knife mad like Kensuke tries to avoid getting slashed by the knife.

Asuka:"RAGHHH!"

Kensuke then felt something piercing his body, he looked down and saw that Asuka had managed to stab him in his lower abdomen.

Kensuke:"...Asuka"

The madness leaves the girl's eyes, Asuka then realises what she has done. She removes the knife, as Kensuke falls to the ground Toji is seen running and screaming in horror for his friend.

... As for Asuka she falls to the abyss in the depths of her mind.
