Chapter 12

Skye's POV

"Are you sure she's okay?"

"Maybe we should wait till she's healed."

I could hear whispers coming from the living room.

"What happened to her anyways?"

What did happen anyways.

I lifted up from my mat and felt a shape pain coming from my arm.

"Shit!" I look down to see its wrapped up with a shirt, and my shirt covered in blood.

"Oh yeah.." Everything that happened finally hit me, I could remember exact what happened.

I go to my bag, pull out a brown long sleeve shirt, a pair of dark jeans, and a pair of dark brown lace up combat boots.

Pulling off my blood stained white shirt. And black shorts, I carefully pulled my brown long sleeve shirt over my head and injured arm. Then quickly pulling on my jeans and tying my shoes.

I walked over to the mirror and examined my face, finding small cuts and bruises. Wishing I could cover them up, but I haven't had makeup in months.

I braided my hair back. I turn around to look at my braid. My hair has grown so long.

"Maybe we should really wait till she's okay, you know?"

"Ugh" I opened the door and walked through the living room, "I'm fine. We can leave."

With my backpack on my back and everyone else's to their sides, I head to the door.

"Well, are y'all coming or not?"

Everyone went out the door as I wanted to be the last to leave.

Finally I was left alone in the house.

Looking around, I took it all in.

Every memory, every smile. I couldn't bare to imagine this would be the last time seeing this place.

"Well dad. Thanks for everything," I whispered to the air thinking maybe somehow some way, my dad would hear.

"Skye! You coming?"

"Yeah! I'm on my way."

Taking one last look at the house. I knew what the adventure I have in store was going to be rough, but I'm ready.
