Chapter 17

Skye's POV.

I sat up in the bed and scanned the room. Not a soul was up.

Forget bed rest. I wanted To go exploring.

Carefully stepping over Niall I began to tiptoe to the closet.

"Clothes, clothes, clothes," I fingered through the hung up clothes and not a thing caught my eye, "ugly."

Carefully closing the closet door I made my way to my bag.

Pulling it off the hook on the wall. I headed carefully to the bathroom.

"Okay there has to be something in here for me to wear," I began to dig into my bad. Pulling out a pair of dark torn blue jeans, and I brown leather jacket, "Okay. This will work."

Already having a white tanktops on. I pulled on my jeans. And then my jacket.

"Okay now where are my shoes?" I opened the door and tip toes back to the bed.

"There you are," I reached for the shoes till a hand caught my wrist.

"Where do you think you're going?" Niall sat up from his bed.

"Exploring. I want to see what all this is." I yanked my hand free.

"You're suppose to be on bed rest remember?" His eyebrows raised.

"I'm fine. I feel good as new," I tired my shoes and got up from the bed.

"You're not going anywhere without me," Niall caught ahold of my wrist.

"Well hurry up then," I huffed at him.

How could I say no to him. His eyes still as beautiful blue as the first day I met him. His smile still there after everything that has happened to this world. He still smiles.

Niall quickly washed up and got dressed. As we headed out the door.

"Okay, so tell me what I've missed while I've been out", I laughed a bit

"Well, not much actually. Other then this place and everything in it," Niall chuckled a bit.

Hall after hall. All lot by candles.

As if they made a maze.

"You look quite the fool in that outfit," I laughed to myself.

Niall had dressed himself in the god awful Wardrobe this place provided.

"Well, I like it a bit. It's quite airy." He laughed again.

His laugh had become more frequent then normal. But it was nice. I liked it. A bit strange but it always made me smile.

We passed a couple rooms but only one caught my eye.

"What room is this?"

My eyes grazed over the many people.. With guns, knifes, arrows. All doing some sort of hunting skill or combat.

"They say it's the training room."

I stand at the door way, watching everyone's moves. I notice every muscle flexed, every vain bulged. I begin to predict ever move they make, and the sad thing is... I was right.

"Skye, hello?" Naill knocked me out of my focus. Losing my train of thought.

"Oh sorry," I gaze back into the room as I lean up against the doorframe, "training for what?"

"I don't quite know. I believe it's for that war that's going to happen in the future." He shrugged his shoulders at the thought, as if he was confirming to himself that what he said was right.
