Chapter 9
Harry's POV
"We plan on going to find the resistance in a few more days, if you would like to come with us," I over heard Liam say to Liesa and Jarrod.
"Well, are you sure the resistance is even real? I mean it could just be a rumor, or they could all be dead by now," Liesa made a good point, they all could be dead, but my mom and my baby sister is with them so I hope not.
"I highly doubt they are. Most of them are skilled at surviving much like yourselves," Louis reassured them.
Soon Liam, Louis, and Liesa continued their conversation as Jarrod stood in the back of the room, leaning his back against the wall. Jarrod use to be a cheeky fellow, much like myself. But now, Jarrod is constantly on watch, he's not the same guy I grew up with.
"Jarrod, you alright mate?" I walk over to him to see what's up.
"Yeah man, I'm alright," he shook his head, his eyes still locked out the window.
"You haven't said much since our arrival. You always like this or what?" I put my hand on his shoulder hoping to get a reaction from him.
"Yeah, don't have much to say anymore. You know? Don't have much left," Jarrods eyes never left the window.
Silence grew between us, all you could here was the boys and Liesa chatting over things and the smell of dust in the air.
"Man, you know you're moms alright, don't you?" I quietly said to him.
Finally his eyes left the window and shot towards me,"What did you just say," I seen the hope in his eyes reappear.
"Your mom, she's okay. She's with the resistance with my mom and sister."
"Hey! Has anyone seen Zayn?" Liesa called to us from the kitchen.
My eyes shot back at Jarrod, his head shook in understanding.
With one leg he generally pushed himself from the wall and walked into the living room of the small cabin,"Found him Liesa. He's in here asleep."
He walked past me again heading to the bedroom. Stopping him with one hand I said, "Jarrod listen, I'll do everything in my power to find the resistance but I need your help. I can't do this without you bro. I need my bestfriend back."
"Alright man. Ill go with you to find the resistance," Jarrod said as he shook his head, "Skye ad Niall should be back in a few minutes."
Liesa's POV
"So you mean to tell me, there is a place where everyone is practically safe and can live peacefully?" I questioned the boys, my eyes wide. Since I've been living out here for the past months I've grown to believe there is no place safe for people like us.
"Yes. The safest place to be. Full of people skillfully trained in Archery, and some with hunting skills like non other," Louis confirmed with me.
"I'm sorry but it sounds to good to be true, no place is completely safe any more."
"He never said it was completely safe. No place is completely safe. Never has been. He said its practically safe," there is a difference, " Liam interrupted me.
"You will come with us, won't you?" Louis smiled a sweet and hopeful smile at me.
"I'll think about it," Louis's eyes dropped back to the table. I guess he liked the thought of finding a new friends and didnt want to lose me. It was a bit sad I must say. Placing my hand on Louid's shoulder his head rose again ,"I promise Lou."
