Chapter 2
As I sat there in the empty call I tried to gather my thoughts.
"Skye? Skye is that you?" A smooth male voice called to me.
I lifted my head to find jarrod coming towards me.
"Skye! I finally found you, are you okay" Jarrod's smile quickly turned into a frown as he seen the worry on my face.
"I'm fine Jarr, just help me up," my laugh was a little shaky and uneasy, and I know I didn't conscience him at all.
I lifted my hand up towards him and he grabbed it. Yanking me up as if I weighed about as much as a feather.
"Skye you look like you've seen a ghost," his bright blue eyes stared at my face as if he was searching for an answer," Are you sure you're okay?"
"Jarrod I'm fine. Just feeling a tad sick, that's it."
We headed to class. Jarrod and I had Auto Tech Class together, that's how we met.
The awkward silence between us was agonizing, and someone had to end it before I went insane...
"Sooo....." Jarrod said trying to clear up the awkward silence, "I see you got new shoes... And new shorts... And shirt.. And accessories! DANG! Why wasn't I informed about shopping?"
He began to pretend he was a Stereotypical homosexual guy. Ill admit I wasn't into the whole "lets pretend like a stereotypical gay" but if something's funny, then it's funny.
I couldn't help but laugh.
"Awh shoot. I didn't know you wanted to go shopping to!" I laughed as I punched his arm.
We finally arrived to class and we went out to the shop.
"Skye, go change the oil on that KIA, that's outside," Mr.Martin called to me, "Jarrod, it's time to get your little nails dirty and help her."
I was more into fixing cars then Jarrod was. He was a pretty boy.
"Come on Jarrod," I grabbed him by the arm and headed outside the shop.
"Skye.... What's up with the sky," Jarrod tugged at the sleeve of my shirt.
I ignored him as I continued to do work on the car. But he kept tugging on my shirt. He didnt stop till I dropped the oil pan full of oil all over my new black combat boots.
"Shit" I mumbled under my breath as a stared at my shoes.. "Jarrod!" I raised my head to look at him but his eyes were locked to the sky... The sky..
The shy was a pinkish red color. And a bright light, as if it were a star was shinning. But it was too big to be a star, and it couldn't possibly be the sun.
"Jarrod.. What's that..," my eyes were locked to the bright shinning object in the sky.
"I.... I don't know... But it's getting closer..,"
All of a sudden a sky turned a deep deep red and the shinny object came crashing to the ground.
Then a flash of blinding light fell across the sky for about two seconds and then everything was calm and quiet, the sky was blue and clear just like it was this morning. But there was nothing but silence. No birds chirping, no wind blowing. It was an uneasy feeling.
Suddenly the girl with red hair appeared behind the wire fence that was around the shop. She looked deformed, back hunched over you could see every vain and bone I'm her body.
"They're here Skye. Run Skye, run. They're here for you and everyone."
