Chapter 7
I lay on my mat on the floor. I had let the guests take the bed, as polite as I am. I turned my head to face Niall. I had never properly thanked him for saving me.
"Thankyou." I whispered softly as if he could hear me. He was sound asleep. So peaceful. So happy.
I leaned back on my mat and began to quietly hum a tune, when suddenly I heard a clatter coming from the kitchen.
I quietly crept around the cabin, trying my best not to awake anyone. Step by step makin my way around everyone.
Finally I made it to the living room. I looked back to the bed room door, and it was shut. I don't remember shutting it. Not at all.. I made my way over to the kitchen door but a television caught my eye.
"When did that get there." I asked myself. We never had a tv. In all honesty we didn't need one.
I made my way through the door and a black Silhouette was standing infront of the sink. I studded it for a minute, thinking it was one of the boys, but the figure was unknown to me. The silhouette shifted a small bit, getting in the moon light. Now I could finally tell what it was... It was one Of those things.. Those creatures. It's hunched boney back. It's white piercing eyes.
Fear struck my body and a gasp escaped my mouth.
It's was jerked around to face me. I tried to stay as still as possible, hoping it wouldn't see me, but it was too late.
It dashed towards me and I stumbled backwards. It pushed me and I fell to the floor.
It stood above me, an I screamed hoping someone would wake up and save me.
Screaming at the top of my lungs but no one came to my rescue.
It stood about me and raised its right arm. Pulling it back to hit me. The arm came crashing forward to me.......
I shot of from my mat. Tears steaming down my face. I looked around the room, to find everything back to normal.
I seemed to have waken Niall with my crying.
Wiping the tears from my face, Niall moved his mat closer to me.
"Skye are you okay?"
"It was just a dream." Still trying to calm down. I mean it felt so real.
"Skye come here," Niall opened his arms to me and I crawled over to him. He closed his arms around me as I curled up in his chest, "Everything is going to be alright, I promise."
I Leaned my head against his chest and listened to the steady beating of his heart. He carefully ran his figures through my hair as we rocked back and forth.
"It feels like I'm cradling a baby," he chucked.
"Hey, I'm not that small," I laughed quietly.
Silence filled the room. I began to keep count of the constant rocking. I looked up at Niall and our eyes met. I could feel a small spark in the pit my stomach.
"Uh.. I never thanked you for saving me," I said a bit awkwardly.
"It's fine. We are all in this together right?"
"Right. Well.. I just wanted to say thanks." I leaned my head back against his chest, and began to listen to his heart beat again.
Niall slowly laid back, still holding me.
He began to sing softly. It was a lullaby my mother use to sing to me when I was younger when I couldn't sleep.
His voice was so smooth, so beautiful. His Irish accent made the song so chilling, so haunting.
As he ran his fingers through my hair and his voice filled the room, I slowly fell asleep in his arms.
