Chapter 38

Anu took their group (except deep and raj) to a corner and explained them whatever happened. Meanwhile Vishakha scolded Deep.

Vishakha: Tujhe pata bhi h teri baaton ka use kitna bura laga hoga? Uski mom chali gyi unko chhod ke, aur kisi aur shaadi kar li. Tu use aisi baatein kaise bol sakta h?

Vishakha thought that Deep didn't know Raj's mother's whole truth, but he knew. His anger and frustration made him say those harsh words.

Vishakha: Already woh rishtedaar kam the jo har waqt usey guilty feel krwate the ki uski mom usey chhod ke chali gyi, jab ki uski koi galti bhi nhi thi. Teri baaton ne use aur chot pahunchai hai.

Deep realised his fault but it was too late.

Deep: Mujhe use dhundhna hoga.

Anu: Deep, chal hum use dhundhte h.

The whole gang split into parts to search for Raj. Ashi, Anu and Deep were searching for him together. They searched for him for almost an hour but couldn't find him. They tried to call him hundreds of times but his phone was switched off, which worried them more. Anu was already crying as she was so worried for him.
Suddenly Ashi spotted Raj's bike infront of a building.

Ashi: Deep, Raj ki bike.

Both Anu and Deep diverted their gaze towards the bike.

Anu crying: Humein is building mein dekhna chahiye.

Deep: Par yeh building toh khaali h. Yaha toh abhi tak koi rehta bhi nhi h.

Anu: Par phir bhi.

Anu ran inside the building and started climbing, so AshDeep followed her inside. The three of them went to the terrace and saw that the terrace gate was open meaning someone was there on the terrace.

Anu: Raj yahi hai.

Anu started to walk but Ashi stopped her.

Ashi: Tune apni halat dekhi hai? Tu itni ro rahi h, tu uske aage kaise jayegi? Tum dono yaha ruko, mai jati hoon.

Vishakha sat in the house's mandir and joined her hands with her eyes closed.
Vishakha prayed: Mere bacho ke beech sab theek kardo, bhagwan! Mai apne bacho ke aise ladta nahi dekh sakti.

Vivek came from behind and informed her: Sab se baat hui meri, par Raj kisi ko bhi nahi mila.

The tears Vishakha had controlled, finally fell down.

Vishakha: Raj ki raksha karna mata rani!

Vivek : Deepu bhi kabse room mein akeli baithi hai.

Vishakha wiped her tears and got up to check up on Deepu. She went towards the room in which she left Deepu and opened the lock. She entered the room and saw Deepu was still watching tv. Deepu took off the headphones as she saw Vishakha entering.

Deepu: Mumma, hum puja kab krenge?

Vishakha: Abhi tak na puja ka mohurat nhi hua hai. Toh tum movie dekho aaram se.

Deepu nodded her head.

Ashi entered the terrace and saw Raj sitting in a corner hugging his knees. His eyes were puffy from crying, but his tears didn't stop. She went near Raj and sat beside him. She kept her hand on his shoulder. He realised that someone was there so he wiped his tears immediately and then looked at her. Seeing that it was Ashi, he tried to ignore eye contact with her as he knew by now his eyes were red because of crying.

Ashi: Mat chupao apne aasu, Raj.

He didn't even have the energy to make up an excuse and lie.

Raj: Ab aadat ho gayi hai mujhe.
