Chapter 51

While the whole gang was in the living room waiting for Ashi and Munna, AnuRaj were in the kitchen. Anu was making lemonade for everyone and Raj was on a call. After Raj hung up the call, he decided to talk to Anu about everything.
Raj in his mind: Agar abhi baat nahi kar paya toh kabhi bhi nahi kar paunga.

Raj called out: Anu!

Anu: Ha?

Raj: Mujhe tujhse kuch baat karni hai.

These words started making Anu nervous because never in the history were these words proven "normal".

Anu: Ha bol.

Raj was hesitant but spoke nonetheless: Tu itni normal kyu behave kar rahi hai?

She exactly knew what he was talking about but still decided to act like she didn't get it.

Anu: Tu yeh kya bol raha hai?

Raj: Humare beech jo hua-

She cut him in between saying: Kuch nahi hua humare beech.

Raj: Please aise behave karna band kar jaise kuch nahi hua. Tune us din mujhe woh sab bataya jo tu mere baare mein feel karti hai. Aur mere jawaab ke baad, pehle toh hum dono awkward ho gaye the. Par jab se tu apne ghar se wapis aayi hai, tu aise behave kar rahi hai jaise kuch hua hi nahi hai. Tu aisa kyu kar rahi hai?! Mujhe pata hai tujhe bura laga, toh tu aisa kyu dikhana chahti hai ki tu normal hai?

Anu: Toh tu kya chahta hai? Mai rone lag jau is baat par? Agar mai kuch react karungi toh humari dosti pe effect padega. Jo ki mai nahi chahti. Ha, mujhe bura laga. Bohot dukh hua. Par mai usey change nahi kar sakti. Toh rone ki jagah, mai us waqt ko bas erase kar dena chahti hoon.
Tears were brimming in her eyes making her pause for a moment.

Anu: Mai woh sab bhul jana chahti hoon. Please tu bhi bhul ja. Mai woh sab regret karti hoon.

Raj in his mind: Ouch! Yeh mujhse ab pyaar nahi karti. Meri hi galti hai. I deserved it.

Tears were streaming down her face as she spoke.

Anu: Woh sab ek bura sapna tha aur mai bhulna chahti hoon. Mujhe us time bhi normal hi behave karna chahiye tha tere saath awkward rehne ki jagah. Mai pagal thi. Par ab mai samajh gayi hoon aur us phase se bahar aa gayi hoon.

He wanted to hug to give her a tight hug and apologize to her but she left the kitchen wiping her tears. He was left with only self disappointment and regret.

Raj to himself: Mai kabhi kuch fix nahi kar sakta.

Ashi was shocked and surprised by Deep's words. She didn't expect it at all.

Ashi: Deep....

Deep was hopeful that she would say yes.

Ashi: I don't love you.

But his hopes got crushed in seconds, she rejected him.

All of the other's attention was on AshDeep but they noticed Anu coming out of the kitchen.

They noticed her tears but no one said a word, to let Ashi complete her words. Anu silently left the house, Avu followed her in worry. Raj came out of the kitchen too, not looking ok. Everyone knew that something has happened.

Ashi: Deep, mai tumhe sirf ek friend ki tarah dekhti hoon. Tum mere bestfriend ho bas. Mere man mein tumhare liye koi romantic feeling nahi hai.

His heart broke into pieces hearing her words.

Deep in his mind: Deep, it's ok. Woh tujhe dost toh maanti hai na. Pyaar saamne wale se expectations rakh ke nahi hota.

He tried to console himself but it was no help, he could feel his heart paining. Meanwhile what Ashi felt was difficult to explain, Deep had a special place in his heart but she never thought about him in a romantic angle. She herself was confused. She also feared that now things won't be the same.
