It took a month for my wing to heal properly. The hole from the arrow is still there, but its healing. While resting back up, I started to clean up the tree house. That's when I found what Zack was telling me about.
A secret pathway.
It was here before we just never saw it.
On the other side of the door was a bomb house almost. Except this one was above ground. In a way it was almost like a garage covered by trees.
It was full over solider stuff. Zack said he stole most of the stuff but the other half was here. But, there was this one this that wasn't stolen or here when he found it. Zack got me a motorcycle.
Why? Because Keia isn't always going to be around. Even I knew that. No one in my life is perminate. They'll all die before me.
I've already taken the bike out for a spin and I can't say that I'm not impressed. Zack built it to perfection.
"Come on Keia let's go out." I say standing up as she follows me out the door. We walk out to the edge of the woods and look around.
Solider has been looking for me. In some cases on the radio, they called me a traitor.
I'm wanted dead or alive.
"Look's like this is where we'll be staying for a bit Keia." She looks over at me before hitting my head with hers. I laugh hugging her gently.
"Did you hear that? There was a laugh!" I freeze before looking around. This is the first time they've come here. I put my foot up on the saddle before I was ripped down.
Guess I had a late reaction.
My back hit the ground and the guy hovered over me. Something hard went across my face making me wine. As he went to punch me again, I grabbed his fist and crushed it. I didn't let go until he fell off me in pain.
I stood up quickly grabbing my gun off of Keia and shooting him right in the head.
Something breezed past me as a gun shot was heard. It missed me by an inch!
I look around holding the guy up as I saw a man in a black tux. "You missed!" My voice echos with the gun shot as he fall to the ground life less.
Once again, my body hit the ground. My arm was put behind my back as the man held a gun to my head. Every fiber in my body tensed up having this gun so close to me.
Flashes ran past my eyes of a man in a dark cloak coming in front of me and trying to kill me.
I yell in frustration turning my head and spiting in his eye making him let go of me. "My eyes!" He yelled stepping back while rubbing his eyes.
I run at him punching him in the face before kneeing him in the stomach. "It's funny how you just got beaten by a girl." My voice was dull as I said this. He finally looked up at me. "You killed two men. I would expect nothing less from a Fair."
"If you value your life," He was standing by now. "Get out." I finish as he sighs. The man put his gun away and took out a hanky and wiped his face. That was when something went into my stomach.
I crouched down in pain breathing heavily. How did he do that? The grey knife was sticking out of my lower stomach. "Fine. You asked for it!" I yelled through gritted teeth as I shot him in the stomach.
Pulling the knife out, I stood up slowly. "You ruined my white shirt." He spat up blood looking at me. My fangs showed as I left my eyes get glossy. They must be red. "You know, I haven't had anything to drink for a while."
The guy scruried back as I sighed. "Something dead isn't fun, but you're moving too much." I lick my lips before shooting him in the head. "Idiot."
I bit his wrist sucking all of the blood I could get. It's been a while since I've had human blood. Letting go of his arm I looked around.
Blood was every where.
I think that's when I broke out of my trance. I had just murdered three people.
My hands were covered in blood! These people would never see there family's again! I stood up and started running to a nearby stream and started scrubbing my arms and hands very roughly.
Tears leaked from my eye as some of the blood was already staining my arms. I gave up before lifting my shirt up. The cut was starting to heal already. I wiped my eyes as Keia growled.
Not again! I can't do it again!
No shots were fired. No yells or warning were called.
When I looked up at Keia, my eyes traveled to where her eyes were. On the ground was a little girl laying on the ground. Blood was slowly dripping into the stream. I gasped before running over to her and turning her over.
It looked like the wolves got to her arm. Wolves are very common in this area. "Keia come here." I wave her over. She lays down as I search through the pack that was on her side. Finding the first aid kit, I started cleaning her arm and wrapping it.
"Stay down." I say to Keia before grabbing the girl and putting her on the saddle before Keia stood up.
Once we got back to the house, I put her into one of my t-shirts before cleaning her up and laying her in my bed. There was only one bed in this house.
"She's going to need new clothes, but I don't want to leave and she wakes up." I sigh before going to the closet and grabbing out a blue shirt and new jeans.
I haven't worn Zack's outfit much just because I don't want to ruin it. But, his blood always stays around my neck. It hasn't left since.
I put my hair up in a small ponytail before starting the fire pit. I'll make some soup for when she wakes up.
