Shixiang remains vigilant, aware that his father's influence extends far beyond the walls of the estate. He passes by shadowy figures, keeping his hood low to avoid recognition. The air is thick with the sense of unease that has settled over the city, a reminder of the growing tension between reformists and the entrenched powers of the court.
