Vanessa's P.O.V.

"Thank you for coming out tonight! I love you Washington!" That sentence was met with 20,000 people screaming as I exited the stage to the right and made my way through backstage to the dressing room area. When I got there I was greeted with the sight of my parents, my manager, and a few members of my crew getting some rest before they had to tear down the stage. I made my way to the arm chair opposite them, and when I sat down I huffed out a breath of relief as I felt absolutely exhausted.

"You were great out there tonight sweetheart, that crowd really does love you don't they?" My father said, which caused us all laugh a little bit, but he is right. The concert was supposed to finish about 45 minutes ago, however I ended up doing encores of 7 songs out there and about 4 cover songs because they crowd kept requesting it, but in all honesty it's not like I really minded it.

"Yeah, I know what you mean; no-one can get enough of this girl can they?" My manager Conor joked making us all laugh. Conor was a really cool guy and actually really attractive. He had dark brown hair, which, in the summer got a little bit darker making it look like he has natural highlights and has the lightest hazel brown eyes which just scream out puppy dog and a killer body that would make men everywhere wish they could be him. However don't let the eyes fool you, just because his eyes usually shine with kindness and humour; it doesn't mean he can't beat the crap out of somebody. I mean one time before I was really famous and only a few people knew who I was some guy tried to feel me up at a bar in London and he wasn't even that drunk. Conor saw what he was trying to do, and, believe it or not, his eyes grew a shade darker and a menacing glare became present in them while he punched the bloke square in the jaw. If I hadn't have been there I never would have believed that Conor could change so much in such a small space of time.

Now back to Conor. Conor got introduced to me through my older brother Xavier. Conor was studying Media and Music at University in England where my brother also attended when Xavier met him. My brother had just started university where as Conor was finishing up. After a while we started to hang out after my brother introduced us. Not long after, he had heard from my brother that I could sing and asked me to play a cover of Coldplay's The Scientist. After that he asked if he could manage me and of course I agreed. After some youtube videos, a few gigs at some pubs, a music contest here and there, and a few favours from his music teacher, Conor got me signed onto one of the best music labels around; Island Def Jam. Home to some of the best artists past and present. Conor's 24 years old and is just like another brother to me, nevertheless that comment hasn't stopped the assumptions and accusations that we aredating; we have dated, or we will date. Thankfully these things don't get in the way of our relationship because we both know what we are to each other and that's brother and sister, but don't think that means I get off lightly when I do something wrong, he can flip the switch between brother and manager faster than I can blink sometimes.

Trying to get the subject on something I found more interesting I decided to ask what they were doing before I came in here. "So, what were you guys doing before I came in here?"

"Well, we were just talking about you going back to school my princess." My dad responded, which made me unconsciously grin as I thought about being able to see Cameron again soon. You see, Cameron and I had known each other ever since we were little. His father is a friend and a business associate of my fathers, so we would always see each other over the holidays, or when our parents had a business meeting. Ever since then we had always been best friends. I even moved to America for a year when my dad's company was expanding and we were literally joined at the hip, and the more that I thought about it the majority of people from my middle school went to the same high school as Cameron so maybe it wouldn't be that bad, and I wouldn't be as lonely as I first thought.
