A Song For You, Mate. - Chapter Fifteen.

Asher's P.O.V.

As I stared into her emerald green eyes time seemed to come to a halt. It was as if I was not the only one affected by her beauty, but the whole universe. I only noticed I was being dragged away by Tyler when I could no longer see her form through the cafeteria doors.

Growling out in frustration I turned around ready to relinquish Tyler's hold on me when he put his hands up in surrender.

"Sorry bro, but I had to get you out of there before you did something stupid." He explained, in a weary tone as if he was expecting me to go on a rampage.

"How is finding my mate, going to make me do something stupid. You of all people should know that I wouldn't hurt her!" I told him, slightly raising my voice throughout my little speech in order to assert some dominance in the situation.

"That's just it Ash! Do you really think that she's your mate?! I think it's pretty obvious by now that she's Cameron's not yours! Do you really wanna get both packs in on this until it ends up as us fighting each other!?" He exclaimed, getting more and more frustrated with every word he said. However, at this point in time I didn't give a shit!

How dare he even try to tell me who was and wasn't my mate! I'm the alpha in this situation, I'm the alpha of his pack. He would treat me with respect and I would make damn well sure he did!

Letting out a warning growl I advanced towards and shoved him into the lockers lining the walls.

"I am your Alpha, Simmons. How dare you disrespect me, and how dare you disrespect your future Luna and my future mate. You may be my Beta and my best friend Tyler, but if you try to take away my mate from me it's not gonna end well for you. "By now it wasn't me entirely but my wolf speaking, asserting his dominance and power to make sure Tyler knew his place was below us.

Tyler growled back in response, turning his body into a protective stance, ready to take me on. " I'm not gonna fight with you over something so petty Asher but you have to understand. We both know Cameron isn't a man whore by any stretch of the imagination so the fact that he's just infatuated with one girl right now, who may or may not be your mate, just doesn't seem all that logical unless by chance Vanessa is his mate."

The assumption that she wasn't my mate made me growl, nevertheless I could now justify his reasoning which just resulted in my wolf and I feeling more agitated and frustrated.

"I'm sorry to bro, but you gotta understand that you've had Katie as your mate ever since you were old enough to know. After waiting so long to find my mate there was just no way my wolf or me are gonna give her up that easily." Putting my hand out he shook it and started to laugh as Katie had been trying to contact him mentally during our little encounter. It was funny the things that came out of that girls mouth.

Hurrying back into the cafeteria I felt ticked off when I couldn't see my mate anywhere in sight. My wolf began to panic but I played it cool sitting down at the table, my only give away being my leg jittering under the table.

"Oh calm down Asher, she went outside with Cameron after she bought lunch. I tuned in to a little bit of their conversation and he's gonna show her around some of the school." Katie informed me, testing her head on Tyler's shoulder.

"Well she shouldn't be with Cameron she should be with me." I told her, letting out a small growl because of the jealousy I felt.

"Well excuse me Mr. Grumpy pants, I was just trying to help. Now what do you have next period?"

"In sorry Katie. And I have A.P. French," I said, scrunching my face up in a slight grimace. I had never been good at languages and french was considerable harder as you had to learn all the different subjects, tenses and different conjugations. "Speaking of which I really need to see Mr. Samuels about so I can change it."
