Vanessa's P.O.V.
I woke up at about 5pm later that day, due to the sound of knocking on my door. Leaving the haven of my bed I got up to be greeted with the sight of the boys asking me what I wanted for dinner tonight. Conor wanted Pizza, Jake wanted something that had chicken in it, preferably KFC or maybe even a McDonalds and Harry wasn't bothered in the slightest as long as he got something that was edible. I swear to God that boy would eat anything. In the end I suggested Chinese as it was probably Parker and I's favourite takeaway, my parents also like it, and it would easily satisfy all of their food needs and wants for the time being.
Flopping back down onto the bed I finally deciphered that I wasn't going to be able to get back to sleep for a while. Sighing I stood up and looked around my bedroom once again not believing that my parents had gone through all of this trouble for me. Getting bored I decided to go see the view from the balcony. As I walked outside the fresh air and the cool breeze of the New Mexico weather was relaxing. The sun was still shining in all its glory as it was this morning, sending down rays of heat making me relish in it. Peering down over the balcony I looked out and was sure I produced an audible gasp. There was a swimming pool which had a cove which lined up in the middle, and a bit of the right side of the garden, that had a slide, and a few diving boards lined up across it. Then on the left side there were about 2 or 3 tennis courts, but I couldn't make everything out because of how bright the sunlight was coming down. Seeing how much the garden excited me I decided to go and explore the rest of the house in hopes of finding something else.
Let's just say, long story short, I was in love with this house! When I first got down the stairs I walked past the foyer which I had already seen and walked into the living room which had black and white modern furniture everywhere and a glass table right in the middle. There were stairs that lead down to the living room giving off the effect that the black and white sofas somehow sunk into the flooring. Then, mounted on the wall was a 70 inch LED, HD, 3D, Plasma screen TV. No doubt that it was purchased by my Dad so that he could watch his Football matches and other sports. Or I suppose I'd better start calling in soccer I thought to myself as I moved onto the next room which happened to be the kitchen.
The kitchen had a black granite Island right in the middle and surrounding it was black and white wooden shelves with top of the line kitchen machinery and accessories dotted around it. This was no doubt purchased by my mother. She loved to cook and had always made sure that whenever she did cook everything was done to perfection. That involved having the perfect utensils and machinery in order to make her food to the best of her ability, which, trust me, was of an extremely high standard. You would know what I was talking about if you had ever tried her home cooking before.
Moving on, after that I found the cinema room. To say it was extravagant was a bit of an understatement. The walls were lined with hand painted murals of all our favourite films and directors. It varied from cartoons like Fat Albert by Bill Cosby, to Jaws, to Charlie Chaplin and the art work for Vertigo and to many other genres. I also loved the chairs in there as well, they, just like the majority of the house where black and white leather, with cup and popcorn holders, heat able seats, and if you got the singular chairs, you could even recline them back and put them onto the vibrate mode. The only thing that was different about the colour scheme was the deep blood red blankets and cushions which sat upon some of the chairs. The splash of colour looked really good in contrast to the black and white seats, and the variety of colours that lined the walls.
Next I ended up in the indoor Gym which had everything most people needed like weights, treadmills, rowing machines, elliptical machines, and other bits and bobs. Personally I was so glad that there was a gym here. Ever since I was little my parents put all of us kids through different forms of physical activity stretching from your everyday sports like football, basketball and tennis, to the more defensive side of sports like different types of mixed martial arts. Xavier and I out of the four of us took it the most seriously. We even ended up representing our county in different fighting events such as karate, ju-jitsu, kick boxing, and military style combat, with and without weapons. Even though I was famous now and no longer had any need to do such aggressive things because I had my bodyguards, I still hit the gym long and hard in order to retain my athletic ability. I had a personal trainer called Drew that helped me work out. He could also fight using these forms so that I was never rusty which was great for me because it always gave me a peace at mind that I could always protect myself if needed. This was also another thing that I was going to love about attending school again; I could join up to a few sports teams and just relax all year round. I had already taken my GCSE'S and had taken my A-levels a couple months back so I was more than sure that academically I could just sail through these classes.
