It was my first day as a sophomore. Our school systems went sophomores through seniors here at (your high school name). I walked around noticing all the strange unfamiliar faces here. I ran to my locker holding my bag close to me. A senior was right next to me so I didn't want all this bad stuff to happen to me like i was told about. I've never seen them before. I grabbed my book running into a figure in front of me.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!" I yelled tumbling backwards a bit not making eye contact.

"No no! That was my fault" he chuckled.

His voice was so sweet and smooth it made my spine tingle. I looked up into his beautiful brown eyes as his hair swept up a little into this quiff. He wore a flannel with some khakis. He was super attractive so I got nervous real fast.

"Oh you must be my locker buddy?" He chuckled.

"Your what?" I asked.

"My locker buddy. I help you around the school and stuff" he replied shaking my hand. "I'm Shawn, Shawn Mendes"

"Oh hey I'm y/n" I replied smiling.

"You ready?" He asked.

I shrugged and nodded. We walked around for a while talking about all the classes, we actually had one class together surprisingly and what to do when we need them.

"So for lunch?" I asked nervously remembering I have no friends to hang out with during them.

"Oh well um, you can either leave campus or stay here doesn't matter" he replied smiling.

I nodded slowly looking around the place.

"Or you can come with me to lunch?" He said trying to get my attention.

"Oh you don't have to Shawn, you probably don't wanna be seen with a loser sophomore" I chuckled holding my books to my chest.

"No... but I'd like to be seen with a gorgeous sophomore" he replied smirking.

I blushed looking at the floor.

"So it's a date?" He asked handing me a piece of paper with his number on it.

I shrugged and nodded.

"I guess you could call it that" I replied chuckling a bit.

He nervously smiled and pushed his hair back.

"Hey text me if you need anything okay? Strictly professional" he winked walking backwards.

I waved a bit heading towards my last class to finish up the day. I slid in my seat feeling my hot cheeks still warm. This is gonna be a hell of a year.
