Unforgettable p a r t 3

I walked down the stairs feeling burning in my chest. The thunder crashing outside loudly made my stomach turn. All my feelings welting up inside just like the weather out there. I'm such an idiot for believing that she could forgive me after what I did. I understand that she doesn't love me like she said she once did. How could someone love someone that have done them wrong? It makes sense to me.

I sighed and scratched the back of my head.

"Shawn?" I heard y/n's small voice.

I turned around and saw her standing there in her oversized sweater and her wavy hair falling to the side.

"Yes?" I asked kindly.

"W-Will you come lay down with me, I'm scared" she asked.

She covered her mouth with the arm hole and smiled.

"of course"

I climbed back up the stairs and threw my shirt off laying down next to her in her warm bed. She hated the thunder, it always scared her. The thunder clapped making her shiver.

"Shh it's okay, I got you" I said petting her head.

She nestled up into my chest as I hoisted her leg closer to my torso. She was shaking, bad. I rested my chin on her head and hummed softly in her ear.

"Y/n?" I asked.

"What?" She mumbled.

"I love you"

"No you don't" she replied.

"I know you think I don't but you're wrong because I wanna be with you"

"Please stop lying to me" she mumbled again.

I'm not gonna fight with her. If she doesn't think I love her she's wrong, but I won't argue. I'll just let it be until she's ready.

The thunder roared again making her squeal in my chest. She was like a puppy.

"Y/n" I said again.

She just stayed silent, but I could feel her eyelashes moving up and down on my bare chest.

"I wanna be with you"

"Shawn, you're just saying that to make me feel better"

"No I'm saying that to make us better. Because I love you and I wanna be with a girl that I love and adore more than anybody in the world" I replied.

She stayed quiet again. She looked up into my eyes and I brushed a piece of hair behind her ear. I leaned in pressing my lips on hers. She sat up and deepened the kiss. It felt like the storm and fog cleared up and everything felt new. It felt right. She let go and smiled. The thunder clapped and she didn't even shiver like she normally does. She just sat there and smiled.

"What no jump?" I teased.

"I don't know I just forgot about it" she shrugged laying down next to me.

I smiled and sighed.

"But I'll never forget this moment..."
